RPGC: Bizarro Edition

OK, this deserves some explaination. First off, there was this show called Sealab 2020. Kinda neat show about a futuristic underwater sea labratory (duh). It was OK, but recently it was ressurected for Adult Swim as Sealab 2021, and while it’s no longer appropriate for kids (let alone educational), it’s frigging hilarious. One of their trademark episodes was the “Bizarro” episode. Words do it justice naught.

Anyway, Mr Saturn made THIS thread…

And therefore, I give you my masterpiece.

Hehehehe, he’s like a little turtle!

You should discover the magic that is Adobe Photoshop before you get Kaged on, X.

I wasn’t shooting for artistic decency. If anything, that crappy quality only enhances the insanity within.

I remember that episode in Seinfeld where they were talking about bizarro superman, and bizarro george/jerry/kramer, it was funny.

Yeah, uh, no more LSD for you, X.

/me sends his Bizarro Bopping r0x0rbury Maba TD and 984 erase the world with their amazing bopping skills…

hits on the elderly

Huzzah! I, Bizarro-Yarro, will use my Terrible Chowder Powers to knock you all down! Come, Squall-Talking Bikini Chain-Mayl …

Whatever.

HOW ARE YOU GENTLEMEN! ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!

RUN, COWARD!

I must say, Master Dalton, your plan this time was exquisitely devious as well as rather brilliant.

Oh, it wasn’t THAT good. I must say, you yourself could probably formulate a better strategy …

X2K, before giving a “Masterpiece”, think adding something, like, I don’t know…

Maybe a background?

Okay…Bizzaro=bad.

I’m scared, mostly because Bizarro Saturn looked like Mario.

… Holy crap, she’s right.

Congratulations X! You have done the possible, making a comic better then 252’s comic.

That was quite funny, although in reference to the above, you may as well said “You worked out how to breathe!” :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, by better, I hope you did not remark such things as…

 1. The lack of background.
 2. Repreated images. He did not change sprites, even once.
 3. When people talk, they talk. That mean their mouth are usually opened.
 4. Quality, isn’t important, since that comic was more like a quick sketch or something.
 5. Except for Mr.Saturn, I don’t think that using different fonts for everyone was necessary
 6. I fail to get the joke.

Oh good lord Booken, the few comics you made sucked as well. Don’t go lecturing people how to make small, stupid, yet somehow amusing jokes now.

Booken, you clearly didn’t see the true meaning behind this masterpiece. First of all, you say the piece lacks background, well I don’t see an empty space, I see a clear mind at work, X’s mind is obviously not cluttered with random ideas and thoughts, he has a clear view on what we should be focusing on, therefore making any background objects useless.
Repeated images? Obviously you haven’t noticed something that’s constant in the universe, the fact that history repeats itself. The artist is most likely representing this with his blatant copy/pasting techniques. Also he may be parodying other comics in the genre, that also copy/paste their characters, constantly.
Yes, you are right about #3, people do open their mouths when they talk, but I ask you, do you see any people in this work of art? No, I see a cyborg and a Mr.Saturn, accompanied by opposite versions of themselves. If I remember correctly, cyborgs do not need to move their mouths, instead they could just use voice projectors, and as for Mr.Saturn, well where’s his mouth, Booken, where’s his mouth?
Quality is important, and obviously X sees this.
As for fonts, I think it is necesary for X to use different fonts, because he can properly show that each character is an individual, and they each have a different voice, different opinion, and a different role.
And you fail to get the joke? Well, then I guess you failed life.
