OK, this deserves some explaination. First off, there was this show called Sealab 2020. Kinda neat show about a futuristic underwater sea labratory (duh). It was OK, but recently it was ressurected for Adult Swim as Sealab 2021, and while it’s no longer appropriate for kids (let alone educational), it’s frigging hilarious. One of their trademark episodes was the “Bizarro” episode. Words do it justice naught.
<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> Oh good lord Booken, the few comics you made sucked as well. Don’t go lecturing people how to make small, stupid, yet somehow amusing jokes now.
Booken, you clearly didn’t see the true meaning behind this masterpiece. First of all, you say the piece lacks background, well I don’t see an empty space, I see a clear mind at work, X’s mind is obviously not cluttered with random ideas and thoughts, he has a clear view on what we should be focusing on, therefore making any background objects useless.
Repeated images? Obviously you haven’t noticed something that’s constant in the universe, the fact that history repeats itself. The artist is most likely representing this with his blatant copy/pasting techniques. Also he may be parodying other comics in the genre, that also copy/paste their characters, constantly.
Yes, you are right about #3, people do open their mouths when they talk, but I ask you, do you see any people in this work of art? No, I see a cyborg and a Mr.Saturn, accompanied by opposite versions of themselves. If I remember correctly, cyborgs do not need to move their mouths, instead they could just use voice projectors, and as for Mr.Saturn, well where’s his mouth, Booken, where’s his mouth?
Quality is important, and obviously X sees this.
As for fonts, I think it is necesary for X to use different fonts, because he can properly show that each character is an individual, and they each have a different voice, different opinion, and a different role.
And you fail to get the joke? Well, then I guess you failed life.
