I was just wondering what y’all would consider the greatest moments in classic RPG history? I’m planning to pick some of these moments, get screenshots of them, and use them in a sideproject of mine. Just tell me your personal favourite(s), and maybe if you have a screenshot post that as well. Thanks in advance.
I’d say when Crono dies.
- the death of Aeris in FF7
- Sephiroth walking through the flames in Nibelheim
The “You’re Not Alone” scene in FF9 is one of my favorates, although Gilgamesh’s farewell in FF5 is a damn good one too.
I loved the Eyes on Me scene in Final Fantasy 8.
The most famous moment in FF history always has been and always will be the “Spoony Bard” line.

Ultros and Relm starring the legendary “Uncle Ulty” scene.
Cloud escapes from Shinra Tower on a Harley.
Kuja dies… Sort of… I’m not sure, you don’t see the body.

The final scene in FF8 when Garden is flying over the water. The dark water reflects the light from the field wheel and the camera pans over to Squall and Rinoa on the balcony.
When the Eidolons fight in FF9. Alexander destroys Bahamut and Eden destroys Alexander. Although it didn’t look right when they added wings to Alexander.

I would also like to suggest, FFX’s Suteki Da Ne scene. And FF6’s opera scene. And FF8’s dance scene.
