Um, isn’t this just a 2006 version of a 1996 game with worse graphics? It seems like a pointless idea to me.
It’s called a re-release, stupid. It’s something video game companies do on anniversaries of game series, when they want to make more cash or when a handheld is released that is powerful enough to remake the original game on. Besides, there’s also the addition of the touch screen and it’s supposedly a more advanced take on the RE: Gaiden game engine which disturbs me. But we’ll know when it’s released next year.
Also, speaking as someone who never completed the game on PS1 in the first place, I cannot wait for this. Fuck tha haterz.

GOD, I wish they’d remake 2 with the engine of the RE1 remake… RE2 is amongst my favorite games, and I’d love to see it get the sweet lovin’ it so deserves.
