Can anyone recommend any REALLY heavy, beat-y, rhythm-y dance music for my buddy? I’m looking for something along the lines of Spiritual Trance by Infected Mushroom, except, kick it up even another notch.
I’m looking for the kind of stuff you’d hear in clubs, like, ex raves and shit, glowsticks and all.
Someone here’s gotta know something.

Okay, HS, as a Rave fan meself, I got a few to suggest. Problem is that I don’t exactly have band names because most of my dance music is copied. But I do still have a few.
“Pretty Rave Girl” I don’t know the band/singer, but it’s fast-paced with a good beat that’s easy to dance to. 
Try Cascada’s CD, “Perfect Day” if you haven’t already. Might not be the speed you want, but it’s good dance music.
“Rocket” Yet again, don’t know the band/singer. This song is a little strange, but it is speedy and your friend might like it. It might be a little light on the rhythm and beat.
“Overdose” You know the drill on band/singer. XD This one is great, it has a heavy beat and it really gives you the chance to dance your mind out.
Okay, I didn’t have muc to contribute. >.< But if I get the time I’ll ask my brother or a close friend about more rave songs so I can post 'em here for you.
Not knowing that much about it myself, I’d reccoment looking at who performed for the “Sonic Bloom” festival. All the raver kids I knew went to that. It’s slightly more on the Infected Mushroom side.

infected mushroom is psytrance. but its dancy psytrance. they take the lame parts out of psytrance and mix it with clubby hardcore and they get their own sound. if you want stuff for your friend that is bassy, energetic, and gets played at venues, you probably dont want psytrance. you want hardstyle (<a href=“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0YitZOtwBE”>a</a>)(<a href=“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raZULp3qhjE”>b</a>)
this is psytrance. its my professional opinion that being fucked up is required to enjoy this music. i dont mean that in a bad way, its just that its the same slightly trippy sound over and over for like ten minutes and nothing ever changes musically.
