R.I.P. Satoshi Kon

Despite this being related to anime, the movies and TV series this guy directed are probably the least anime things going (at least in comparison to what passes as anime these days). The list of these works include Perfect Blue, Millenium Actress, Paprika, Toyko Godfathers, Magnetic Rose, and Paranoia Agent (somebody correct me if I forgot anything).

He died to cancer at the age of 46.

Goddamn it. ;_;

A friend told him he saw works of this great Japanese guy, Satoshi Kon. A couple of days later I told him Kon had died. Ooops. Haven’t seen anything of his yet.

Loved Paranoia Agent. Pity.

R.I.P.

I saw Millennium Actress and it was really good. I still need to see his other movies, most importantly Paprika.

R.I.P. Indeed! …46 is way to early to move on.

I’ve heard of him, but not seen any of the above mentioned works. :frowning:

May he rise again as a manifestation of the darkest part of his psyche and destroy us all.

Helios: they’re all pretty much mind-screws. Very well done, but be ready to be baffled if you watch them.

I’ll keep that in mind next time I pass by the video store! :smiley:
