You’d think, but enough hard hits to the temple and down you go.
I would think the surface area would be big enough so that any wack to any part of the body, given the weight of the fun noodle, and guessing how hard a hit would be (a medium-light feeling), that any direct impact would be dispersed over enough of the surface area so that a very minimalistic effect would occur.

Yeah, that’s what I felt. Except that I wanted to kill my cousin, not myself.
Why do I hate Barney? Let me count the reasons…
1.) The sound of his voice makes the hair on back stand up.
2.) I can’t stand super cute shit.
3.) He’s so fun to poke jokes at.
There’s more but my mind is busy on other important subjects at the moment.
He is purple and he sings songs about happyness and love, how can’t you hate him?
