I have no problem with it. But, near as I can tell, 5% of all people who hate Barney hate it because they’ve had to sit down and watch it with their younger siblings every day or close to for a LONG time. The other 95%?
They hate it because everyone else does.
Barney is obnoxious, and his voice is sickening. He’s so good, he’s evil, and that is the worst kind of evil. Therefor, he must be destroyed.

The same reason I hate Jim Carrey: He’s annoying as all hell.
I must state that no person’s ‘personality’ are equal to having such properties that are coinherent in the ‘true reality’.
