Premiere Magic

Or not.

I was a little bored last night and decided to whip some stuff up in Adobe Premiere.

The end result was a rather nice little piece that, while lacking polish, is at least better than most hack jobs. Its kind of an AMV.

Anyway, it goes as follows:

Anime: Full Metal Panic
Music: Mechwarrior 2 - Cant remember the fricking name

I was playing with titling and gave the crew some familiar names :stuck_out_tongue:

THe chopper Pilot is ClothHat and the Redhead is Nessa (The titles were not up long enough to read properly and I couldnt be bothered re-doing it)
The rest should be inherently obvious. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

Warning: The file is 15MB big, Probably not good for dial-up :stuck_out_tongue:

Shalcar’s AMV

Edit: In response to your questions:

No, I didn’t plan to give them names or anything, it was just supposed to be for fun. It was TD’s idea to give the characters names and it was en excuse to play with the titling feature of Premiere. Secondly, TD is in it for cameo reasons only (It was his idea to add names after all). Thridly, OF COURSE im the hero, I mean, Im just that awesome :stuck_out_tongue: (Anyone who has watched FMP will know why I gave TD his char and made mine who he is) :stuck_out_tongue:

kicks his dialup

kicks his shitty comp I’ll comment as soon as my comp decides it wants to download it. I wised up and grabbed a dl manager so that I can still grab things when my comp is being bitchy. kicks comp again

Ah, how nice, on the school computers it was entirely blank white, with a split second of music before there was an error message complaining about format. Good thing I’m only on these things for a little more than a day.

What format did you save the video in? It doesn’t play in Windows Media Player, Quicktime, or even Winamp (with div-x plugin). Maybe try re-exporting it as an mpeg?

Its encoded in XViD so you will need the relevant codecs for it :stuck_out_tongue:

They do come with the DivX packages (or at least the latest ones) I just kind of assumed that everyone would ahave them. A silly assumption I guess :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

THe links to the codecs are

Here!

Becareful, more often than not download managers are spyware fronts.

This one had about a 95% review on download.com, and hasn’t made things any worse for me so far. my connection drops so much today that I have to use it to get anything done.

btw: the vid ain’t bad, ain’t bad at all.

AH, its working now…

WOOT for giant fighting robots. And the video and music sync up real nice, good job.

…it’s about as confusing as an anime would normally be. Congrats. :stuck_out_tongue:

Uhh, what? What just happened? Was the chopper taken out by a thrown lightsaber?

No, it was a thrown knife, hence the chopper having aq knife through it in the next scene… or was it 2 scenes away, I cant remember.

It was not made with master piece material in mind :stuck_out_tongue:

TD’s role in this movie is absolutely critical

I thought lets see, who is in Everything and does absolutly nothing?
Well, TD’s name came up and I thought CAMEO material!

I feel so appreciated.

I’m sorry Westie, but I found it rather boring :stuck_out_tongue:
Gimme a few hours, I’ll make something SUPER GREAT!

You are on Rud

Im going to make you sorry you even have Premiere :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I don’t…yet… :stuck_out_tongue:

Then Im going to make you sorry that you DONT have premiere :stuck_out_tongue:
