Very nice pictures, esp. the first one!
Now for CC:
Aria picture
- nice background, goes well with the soft glow lighting
- fingertip taper in just a little too dramatically; esp. right hand where knuckles and palm aren’t pronounced enough
- good, consistent highlighting
- wings are not highlighted and overlayed when the rest of the picture is… seems inconsistent - maybe use some gray overtones; some sketch lines are visible too
- colouring scheme is smooth and doesn’t leave any gaps
- shadowing needs an additional layer for very dark shadows, especially under the belt, skirt, some part of the hair
- good use of smoothing in skin tones; overall very pleasant to look at
- left ear visibly larger than right, eyes are slightly off-position; left arm or left arm vambrace doesn’t really make sense physiologically from that perspective
Snape picture
- good expression on Snape’s face, assuming that’s Lily Potter that he’s reminiscing about
- face too long and skull incorrectly structured
Thank you ^^
Shion and Satoko from Higurashi No Naku Koro ni!

How do you get picures on a post? It won’t let me copy and paste it.::dekar!::
First, upload them somewhere (like photobucket) and link to them using this tag:

P.S. Satoko’s missing the right blush, but nice effort
These are pictures of my term project in Sculpture this semester. The theme was symbiosis, and we had to reference this theme by combining a cast form and a welded metal form. I chose a parasite relationship between snails birds and these beautiful parasites called Leucochloridium paradoxum. To sum it up, the parasite lives in birds. The bird has the parasite’s eggs in its feces, and these feces get on vegetation which is the snails food. The snail consumes these eggs in the process. The eggs hatch into larva and they proceed to crawl inside of the snail’s eyestalks, creating a disturbing bulbous appearance. They writhe and wriggle to mimic a caterpillar or maggot to attract birds. A bird would most likely eat the eyestalk, and the process continues.
I excluded the bird from my project, due to proportion issues, and stuck with the snail. These are photos of them while the snails were set up for a group critique yesterday.
This video shows the parasite in action (the real one, not the art):
- That was the 666th reply to the thread. Way to go, Gila Monster!
- What in the flying fuck? That’s awesome! I’ve never heard of a snail sculpture, you creative thing, you.
I must agree. Those snails are the very awesome indeed.
I love sculpturing
Where do you go to school if you don’t mind me prying?

I thought the larva were Parasites, not symbiotes?
I thought the term Symbiont meant that both creatures are benefitted from the relationship (like the many bacteria that help our digestive tracts), while a Parasite clearly gives its host the shaft.
Regardless. Nice artwork and considering it was a year ago I’m very late posting this reply… but only because somebody else did before me.

I’m in the Fine Arts program at Langara college in South Vancouver (BC, Canada). It’s a two year diploma program, although I plan to pursue a bachelors in Fine Arts sometime in the future.
You have some interesting things up yourself. I like the eagle you did.
Thanks!
Symbiosis encompasses all the forms of relationships:
Mutualism – + +
Commensalism – + 0
Parasitism – + -
Competition – - -
Neutralism – 0 0

A parasitic relationship is an example of symbiosis.
And you’re hardly a year late; I posted those images in mid to late December.

Yes I know I messed up on the die on the right
Technically, no. The die is so that if you add the opposite sides they equal 7, so if you rotated the die 180 degrees it would be exactly what is in the artwork.
Oh, I meant the perspective (die should be slightly taller) but yeah I looked on google images for pictures of the die faces so I wouldn’t mess up on the numbers
you could have copy/pasted the left die and just added the dots :o
I like the picture mucho <3 but the orange line bothers me a little nitpick mode on I would either make it a bit more edgy to make it obvious, or completely smooth. nitpick mode off :o
This was on facebook’s graffiti app so there were no functions beyond “brush” of different sizes and colours (it’s on Epico’s wall :P)
And yeah; I hadn’t noticed, but the orange background isn’t as smooth as I’d like. Thanks for noticing!
… I think we had an RPGClassics facebook group or sumtin’ …
But I don’t know the real names of people … except two. Maybe three, but TD’s not there.
you drew this as a facebook graffiti? o______O you insane man. I still wonder how people do that. then again, I don’t have a tablet and only a very weird laptop mouse, and a horrible optical mouse which is even worse than my touchpad. -_o
