Orakio in a coma...

I’m not sure whether or not this is true or not, but I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt… mainly because it will not hurt me for doing so.

May he get well.

You people are so gullible it boggles my mind.

I quite agree. Personally, I doubt anything has happened to Orak, but whatever. If somehow something really did happen to him, then I wish him well, but until i get substantial proof, I’m just gonna shrug at this.

Well, yeah. He is famous for his over-dramatic bullshit, so he probably ISN’T in a coma, but I still think its nice to give someone the benefit of the doubt… as long as no harm can come to you from doing so.

If I find out later that he was lying, then I am going to lose what little respect I have for him. He has everything to lose, not me.

Yeah, well, things don’t usually fall into place like this… But we’ll see…

It also doesn’t help that he’s been using his medical condition as an excuse for about everything over the past few weeks. But meh, whatever. We’ll see.

After being alerted to prior events, Im also gonna have to snub this off as more orakio bullshit.

The new people I can’t blame so much though. I guess I’m being a tad critical of you all. But you should observe things with a more critical perspective. I guess science taught me not to take much at face value.

Sin, let’s take the situation from my point of view (I can’t say for the others, though.)

What I know of Orak = Zilch
What can I lose from wishing him well = Zilch
What does it matter whether I say it or not = Zilch

I figure it’s better to wish someone to get better than it is to say “screw you I wish you died.”

He’s not saying that in the least, he’s just a bit skeptical, that’s all.

Well, in your case, that’s true, you know nothing of orakio. We, on the other hand, have a bit of a flashlight in the dark closet that is Orakio, so we know what we’re looking at.

He’s done stuff like this before. If he dies, show me the obituary, and I’ll be set, because I know his name is Eric Starbird, so that would be ample proof.

Exactly.

I’d rather not lose the part of me that is able to take stuff at face value and have some trust in people instead of bitterly going “yeah, whatever, bullshit, prove it to me” (although I do a lot of that, too – especially the bitter part).

I mean, it’s not like we’re being hit up for money to cover medical expenses or being solicited for pictures or words that might in the event of a con job come back to embarrass us or anything (in which case Sin’s natural skeptecism would be well-warranted). But since there’s no attempted con going on, why assume the worst?

Personally, I’d rather be all “gee, I hope he’s okay, sorry if I ever offended you dude, let’s start over” and have him come back to say “ha ha ha, gotcha!” than to be the guy who said “Liar, bullshit” and have to live up to that when/if something really bad happens to Orak. I’d rather Kaiser gets laughed at by people he’s never seen than Orak dies. Ya know?

I’ve got no reason to distrust this info. Orak had established he was ailing for a long time, and he hasn’t posted in several days, so a relative comes in and tells his [online] friends what’s going on.

What I know of Orak = years of recurring behavioral patterns
What can I lose from wishing him well = good judgement and reasoning
What does it matter whether I say it or not = supporting a behavioral pattern of avoidance and attention gathering to support insecurities

“I figure it’s better to wish someone to get better than it is to say “screw you I wish you died.””

I said this where?

Yeah, but the thing is that Sin did say we were gullible. I only have an excuse for it.

Besides, I can say the same thing for everyone at RPGC.

This is basically the last chance I’m giving him, Sin.

I know that he has a reputation for being a gigantic liar and a drama queen, and if it turns out that I am correct and he is not in a coma, then I hope that fucker really does have all of this bad stuff that he claims has happened to him. I’m fracking serious, too. Lying about this kind of stuff is EVIL, Mr. Conservative Christian, so if you are out there, then you should come clean soon.

let’s not speculate one way or the other.

And then I said I can’t blame the new people/those who haven’t been involved for not knowing all the info to correct myself. I agree with Merl. Killing thread. We’ll see what happens.

Ganon, Orakio’s cousin, wants to talk, so I’m reopening it.

coma… didn’t think things were going that bad for orakio, what a bummer…

ok everybody, I am Orakio’s cousin. If you guys don’t believe me about being related then I will tell you what I know about him.

Name: Eric Michael Starbird
Date of Birth: August 1, 1985
Place of Birth: Waterville, Maine

I can’t think of anything else that would be helpful to you, but oh well.

I am his 2nd cousin on his mother’s side. I live in Northern Maine with my wife and baby as a potato farmer.

My side of the story is this. I came down to visit my cousin (his mother) and when I got here late last night, his sister was the only one in the house, saying that Eric was taken to the hospital. His parents called the house and say that he was in a coma. They asked if I would help out around the house and that is what I am doing. I cleaned his room and found a small notebook that he had written in, requesting that a family member let the people of RPGC know about this if something had ever happened to him.

Eric is in a coma. You have my word as a man and a christian. If this was bullshit, then believe me, the doctors would know and so would his family. He is in a coma, evidently in some pain, and you people can debate on whether or not he is actually in a coma or if he is just pulling your leg? for shame on all of you who think that. he we have a guy who has done nothing to hurt you guys, and who in my opinion was the only one in RPGC who would work his ass off for a site that does NOTHING for him but bitch about whether he is really sick or not. If Orakio were here to see this, I’m sure that he would be very insulted by all of this.

I’m not here to become friends with any of you. Fuck, I don’t even like RPGs, my farm and my family are more important than some stupid videogame, or for that matter some smartass kids who treat him like dirt (I’m not saying that all of you are, but I’ve gotten some impressions). I am here by the request of both the notebook and his parents to be the messenger.

I will keep you all up to date on these matters. Right now, Eric is in stable condition after a frightening night.

Heh…quite doubtful, considering that waaay back when Orak had one of his comas or whatever, he showed up in the chat room with the nick Alys_Bragwin claiming to be a “friend” of Orak. I can’t be 100% sure, but I won’t be surprised if this Zio(or is it Ganon?) is none other than Orak.
Edit: /me thuds. Oh well, I’ll wish Orak luck anyways…

Happy thoughts people now! We all know Orak is a fighter and will get through this but a little shamrock wouldn’t hurt.
