In my timezone anyway, it’s still December 8th, a.k.a. the 24 year anniversary of the murder of John Lennon. I was gonna start a thread earlier today, but it slipped my mind.

I know there’s quite a few metalheads out there, though, around RPGC land, so I figure I ought to pass along the bad news that a musician got shot and killed on December 8th AGAIN.

Frustrating and sad. I imagine it’s even worse for friends, fans, and family (of which I am none).

Fuck, man. That sucks. Dimebag was my hero. I guess that now rules out a Pantera reunion.
I shall play some Pantera on the guitar to honor his memory.

Worse yet, this happened in my home state.

Yeah, now we’re going to need metal detectors in every nightclub to avoid another disaster like this.

God… that’s terrible. I’m going to listen to Cowboys from Hell in honor of Dimebag. God damn… he was one of my favorite guitarists, too.

I have Cowboys from hell as a 800x600 MPEG. I’m playing that now in homage to him too.

Today is a sad day in metal. Pantera and Damageplan are two bands that I listen to frequently. He will be missed.

There’s nothing in there comparing Dimebag to Lennon. Kaiser just mentioned Lennon’s death, and followed up with a link leading to the article about Dimebag’s death.

Actually, you are. The only comparison that was made was in regards to them both being musicians.
