I was wondering… A few people here mentioned a few D&D on-line sessions, via IRC, if I’m not mistaken. Since I’m a fan of Baldur’s Gate and Fallout, I’ve been curious about D&D, since it was the foundation of those RPGs. As such, I’d like to participate in one such session, to get more accustomed to the rules and learn some more about the game.
you should know the rules before joining a game.
I have tonnes of books available for download on my site at
http://rotd.rpgclassics.com
Read the Player’s Handbook, and the Class books.
If I remember well there’s a program called RPGonline which is basically a Mirc clone, just that you connect to the DM rather than a server and it has a lot of functions like dice, easy charts & stuff…
Baldur’s Gate is Based in D&D 2e, But I Think you should Learn 3e, It’s easier to start with.
If your interested, Manus, I’m trying to start a third edition game. Reply to the thread if your interested.

Curious, but where can you dL this program?
I would be interested, but I’ll have to warn you that even though I’ve read a bit of the class information, I still haven’t memorized the rules.
And such a program seems interesting. Let me know if you find it.
I’ll mkae a search for it. I think it’s freeware so I may even upload it to my site and then you can download from there if it really is.
Download WHICH program?
IRC dice program(s) ADND2 Core rules?
IRC is at www.mirc.com (I think?:P)
Dice program are easy to find just search over googles
And ADnD2 core rules someone has to send you via ICQ or IRC or something…
