On a Non-RPG note...

Making your way through the world today sucks. All the bullshit from the government and its brainwashed citizens can really get you down. So what do you do?

Well on person suggests-

Personally, i agree with everything he says up until he goes spiritiual. At that point he seems to being contradicting what he has said in the first half…

Sort of reminds me of that episode of bebop, “Brain Scratch.” Minus the electronic spirit bit.

He suggested what? I didn’t see anything other than whining until he got to the spirituality bit, and I couldn’t read that whole thing through. There’s something not right about using the words pray and ass in the same sentence, unless it’s referring to the animal.

That entire thing was funny. He just wanted to write something to show everyone that he can use big words often and barely make sense.

All we need to do is destroy Capitalism and switch to Communism, TRUE Communism.

Too bad true Communism with a capital C (that’s the big C for those of you that don’t know) is actually understood and defined as the whole USSR/Stalin Communism. Communism with a little c (communism) is probably the economic system you’re thinking of. Too bad that requires a more ideologically driven system than even laissez faire capitalism (lower case c!) that can never be attained due to human nature. Any type of government interference to bring about communism (little c) would most likely result in Communism (big c) or socialism, both of which have their flaws.

Thanks for correcting me, 984…yea, what he said.

And what’s more, capitalism has been so postively portrayed and communism so negatively so during the cold wars that, even if some community managed to pull it off, the majority of the occidental population would not think of it as something that would work for them. A change into an economic system where skill or training required for professional is irrelevant to the amount one is paid to those brought up to think “work harder, get more” would seem unfair and even if change will happen, it can not happen at least within the next century or so.

You’re right there, but don’t you think it’'s worth at least a try?

I’ve never tried shit, but I know I wouldn’t like it.

(Sorry. I’ve just been wanting to use that statement for a while now.)

Actually, isn’t it illegal to run as a communist?

Ok…Communism DOESN’T WORK. Think of why Fascism (?) is wrong. It places power within one person. The same thing happens with Communism. I personally think that the idealogy system works like a circle. <–Communism–>socialism–>liberal–>moderate<–conservative<–(whatever system)<–Fascism–>Anarchism<–Communism. Communism and fascism are flip sides of the same coin. Fascim is freedom without equality. Communism is equality without freedom. Each ism has a flip to it. Well thats my non-grad degree poli-sci opinion of the day. Way too many flaws for any professor to count:mwahaha:

Given that there is a prevailing notion of anti-McCarthyism in America, President Bush (Sr) awarded a Medal of Freedom to a senator that was one of McCarthy’s peers and spoke out against him and for the right to hold what beliefs one may want, and that Gus Hall (I think) ran as the Communist Party nominee for President throughout the 70s and 80s without being jailed for it, I doubt such a law exists any more, CH. If it does, it’s not enforced, which is almost as good as not existing.

McCarthy is from my fair state of Wisconsin! w00t. :stuck_out_tongue:

Every single system has gaping flaws, and no one will ever last. Sorry.

Sorry to burst your bubble but as others have said there is no such thing as TRUE communism, just like there is no such thing as TRUE capitalism. Every system is perfect theoretically but when put in motion, they have many flaws.

It’s still worth a try…communism is a very appealing system, we know this…but as long as humans are easily corrupted, there can never be a good political system…At least everyother countryis doing better than the US. (Politically, except Iraq)

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> “Hey, let’s jump from that skyscraper over there to see if we can fly  We know it’s impossible for humans to fly without aid, but it would be so cool if we could! Let’s give it a try   :D”

Once again, communism is an economic system first and foremost. As for all other countries having better political systems than the US? I highly doubt that. Some representatives in those countries that do possess a kind of representative government might be better than some of the representatives in our government, but I wouldn’t go so far as to state that the Middle East’s, North Korea’s, China’s, or even some European countries’ systems are better than the US’s, especially not if we went back to a system of federalism rather than this Hobbesian state of people and states subservient to the government (which, mind you, started long before Dubya in case you wanted to try and bash him).

I meant that other countries are more stable than the US politically…otherthan the Middle East, and Asia, of course.
