What in god’s name were they trying? :-/ being brought up in a religious environment is one thing, but eight shafting years? Is abstinence a valid reason to win a Darwin Award? 
I am unsurprised, I knew a girl who had sex with her boyfriend, got pregnant and didn’t know why she was gaining weight. She had no idea she had done anything to get pregnant. She was a preacher’s daughter, but that is NO excuse.

The 30-year-old wife and her 36-year-old husband are now being given sex therapy lessons while the university clinic undertakes a study to try to find out if there are more couples with a similar lack of sex education.
I think that study is definitely worth the effort.
And I agree Neb, a Darwin Award of some sort is in order for this couple. Someone should send it in under the “personal account” category.

How you could be with someone and not have the urge for 8 years is totally beyond me. They must lead a horribly sheltered life, given the way media is nowadays, if they didn’t know sex equals babies.

They might have had the urge but genuinly didn’t know how to eleviate that urge.
If they were brought up with there parents sleeping in separate beds, which was a custom in the past before double beds were made, then they might not have known about physical contact outside of the kiss that cemented their matrimoney.
I think that sort of innocence is sweet in a way, but… it should have ended after marriage.
It’s amazing that two people who were both to an equal degree of ignorance at that level ended up together.
