Fuck yes. This brings back memories of when SK calculated the % of profanities in one of my posts. Ah, the good old days.
Before you get your hopes up too far I should point out that this game is brought to you by Cavia. Famed makers of such games as Drakengard and Resident Evil: Dead Aim. :hint:
I never took note of the game before. I looked at the TGS 09 trailer a second ago. It looks kinda cool.
Not much of a trailer aside from the colourful monologue. I did see one cool looking monster in a picture though.
Er, okay?
I’ve been looking at publicity for this game and it looks pretty cool actually. A lot more exciting than another Final Fantasy at least… Especially the part in the trailer where the character is fighting hundreds of balls flying towards him. That looked pretty intense.
Squeenix?? Man they’ve really fallen off the wagon.
It’s Cavia, Squeenix is just publishing. Everything they touch is badly executed but dripping with camp and massive WTFs.
For example, here’s the protagonists of Drakengard:
Caim: Enforced silent protagonist and omnicidal maniac.
Furiae: Caim’s sister and some sort of living seal against eldritch abominations. Wants Caim’s dick in her.
Leonard: All around nice guy and lover of little boys’ asses. Closest thing to sane this game has to offer.
Arioch: Crazy, baby-eating she-elf.
Seere: Broken little boy with a pretty massive Oedipus complex.
Verdelet: Senile old preacher. Frequently gets his teeth kicked in by Caim.
You forgot to mention that what you listed was the second best part of the game (the crazy train to Armageddon is the best aspect). The gameplay itself is essentially a lame Dynasty Warriors knock-off.
But then again the only reason why I have any interest in this game is if it can become the second coming of Drakengard, and this time with tolerable gameplay.
Out of the many posts, this one attract my attention. I believe it is possible for anyone to participate.:noway:
All the same the only reason I can think of them wanting to push this is because of the X-TREEM content, meaning they’re looking to appeal to a broader audience, meaning fuck Squeenix once again.
FFVII was the extreme content that appealed to a broader audience x years ago though.
What’s wrong with making a game more people like? They aren’t artists trying to make excellent artwork for a select group of people, they’re a business making an entertainment product.
Maybe I’m just not used to squeenix publishing a game with content like that.
