New hard drive help

I just installed a new hard drive on my computer, and I was wondering if I have to have windows xp installed on both of my hard drives.

Too the best of my knowledge, no. Just make sure that the one with windows on it is set as the boot drive. After windows boots, windows should detect the new drive on its own after this. Now, I havent managed a multi-HD comp before, however from what I have learned from having installed windows and managed boot sequences before, I do have the belief that it will work. Just plug the HD in, screw in, and when you turn it on, windows wil boot completely from the disk that already has it.

No you just need to have windows install on your Primary Master drive (your C: drive). The only thing you need to watch out for is that your new HD doesn’t take over as your master drive, but if you’ve been able to start the PC with the new drive connected then you should be all set.

Thanks
