As you may have noticed on a few other websites/forums,
I have been very buisy spreading the word about Tavern RPG (project title),
an all new RPG coming to Genesis/SegaCD next year.:victoly:
I am member of the developement team and trying at the moment to let everyone who loves RPGs in the style of SNES-classics like FF VI, Chrono Trigger or Lunar know about our upcoming release.
Tavern RPG was born out of Eidolon´s Inn, a place for Sega-homebrew-coders and has taken shape since developement begn in 2004.
We plan on releasing the game as real cartridge and CD-versions in about a year. Our ambition is to do a game that can compete with later SNES-RPGs in every way, and we´re on a good way.
Now our team still needs help, especially skilled pixel artists or people that are ready and willing to learn in the process of doing graphics.
We have no commercial intentions for ourselves, we make it out of our love for RPGs and for Sega´s 16-Bit-device. So don´t expect to get rich!:):no2:
If you are interested in joining TRPG-team and taking part in the developement of a real game of your favourite genre, PM me!
And for all questions that may arise about TRPG, I created this thread! Feel free to ask whatever you want! We need the fans´support to make this one of the best 16-Bit-RPGs ever!
For info on Tavern RPG, we are proud that Sega-16 already featured a lenghty interview with us containing all basic information, screenshots and MP3s!
Personally I’ve never been too fond of Mega Drive/Genesis; I preferred both SNES and Master System to it. Loved Shining Force though. :ducks to avoid Phantasy Star fans.
Actually, I prefer SNES-RPGs as well (although I like the MD better in all other important genres).:ulty:
But what does it have to do with this game? Genesis are cheaper than going to McDonald´s today, so everyone can get one…and the game itself is more in the style of SNES-RPGs than in the style of Phantasy Star as the screenshots prove…
For me the main competition for our game is FF VI:ah-ha!: and Chrono Trigger:moonwalk: .
Hey! The 16-Bit-wars are over! It´s a whole new 16-Bit RPG, and the biggest ever made!:victoly:
No matter why they get into it at first, it is just important that they play the game. After jerking off a bit they may realize there´s an awesome game behind the low-ress boobs!
