Neo Food of the Day

I really like putting Doritos on my sandwiches. They add a crunch and an artificial cheesiness I can’t really get elsewhere. I also enjoy just eating the cool ranch Doritos.

Food #365:
Bouillon Cubes

I like cooking rice in bouillon cubes. Gives it a nice extra flavor. Chicken. Beef. Vegetable. It all works.

Not even a special mention of the significance of #365? Boo, I say.

Not even a mention of your take on Bouillon Cubes? Boo, I say.

I like using bouillon cubes in my cooking. When making lazy Mexican rice I use tomato bouillon to give it flavor.

Food #366:
Funfetti

To celebrate over a year’s worth of Food of the Days (see, I had a purpose for not doing it yesterday, Miss Mints), we need something fun. A cake. With fun it. Funfetti.

How can anyone NOT like that?

And now, I must say that my reign (of terror) over Food of the Day shall soon be coming to an end. The last Food I post shall be Food #377 which is currently on schedule for February 13th. But in the mean time, have some :caik:.

Oh, oops. I forgot to say that I don’t use bouillon.

I worked with someone who actually thought that Funfetti tasted different. :expressionless:

You’re not going to post 984 foods?

I enjoy funfetti, especially with rainbow frosting. I do recall most of my friends referring it as a the gay cake.

Food #367:
Tacos

I will admit to not really having authentic tacos. I have had the Taco Bell and make at home kind. Never had some old Mexican woman cook them for me (if I go to a Mexican restaurant, I tend to shy away from tacos for some reason). So I guess I know American tacos. And I like them. Generally prefer soft tortilla. Not a big lettuce and tomato fan, so it’s usually just meat and cheese. Still good enough.

Funfetti is the best, but what will we do without you?

I don’t mind taco bell tacos as long as I can drown them in sour cream and avocado. Not really a big fan of them though. I enjoy the tacos my grandma makes best. She makes some sort of meat and potato filling(I still have not been able to replicate it), then she puts it into freshly made corn tortillas. Then she makes them super unhealthy by frying them. I eat them with lettuce and cheese and a dash of hot sauce or salsa. They are delicious.
I also shy away from buying them at Mexican restaurant. Mostly because I can eat them at home, and they will be better so I may as well try something that isn’t made often in my house.

I’m not fond of tacos for no other reason than they’re really hard and messy to eat. So when I get a taco jones, I just put taco fixins on nachos. Just as tasty and a lot easier to eat!

Food #368:
Pita Chips

Have you heard of these? I discovered them over Christmas break. They’re essentially chips made from pita bread. They’re thicker, crunchier, and baked. More flavors too. I definitely prefer them to regular chips. Only downside would be that they cost more.

Funfetti: Oh HELL YES!!! Now I really want to have a Funfetti cake.
Tacos: As a rule, I don’t care for them. I will eat them though. But, I disperse it amongst my language to confuse and annoy the hell out of people. Fun shit.
Pita Chips: I’ve heard of them recently, but don’t believe I’ve eaten them.

They were usually available in my dining hall or some food events in my undergrad. They were very tasty. Whenever they were available at food events I tended to swipe a lot of bags for hoarding in my room for midterm and final season.

Funny Food #369:
Adios Motherfucker

The AMF. It’s a twist on a Long Island Iced Tea. Both have tequila, vodka, rum, gin, and sweet and sour. Whereas the LIIT tops it off with Coke, the AMF tops it off with Blue Curacao and Sprite. I’ve heard it can make people throw up blue.

I have never tried it, mostly because I’m girly and thus like my liquor masked behind fruity flavors. =p

Sprite is gay and is therefore (what a stupid word. therefore.) fruity.

Food #370:
Coagulated Blood

Back in undergrad, an anthropology professor told me of this recipe from his native Hungary. First, take the goat or sheep, whatever it is you’re gonna slaughter. Get a bucket. Slit the throat so the blood flows into the bucket. Put the bucket in an ice bath so the blood coagulates quickly. Fry up the coagulated blood with some seasoning, paprika and shit, with some veggies (carrots and 'taters will work). Work in some of the meat if you wish. I have never had it. But I’m tempted to try it. Just to say I did. Now I just need to go find a goat to slaughter.

…what the hell, man. What the hell.
