I have never tried it, mostly because I’m girly and thus like my liquor masked behind fruity flavors. =p
Sprite is gay and is therefore (what a stupid word. therefore.) fruity.
Food #370:
Coagulated Blood
Back in undergrad, an anthropology professor told me of this recipe from his native Hungary. First, take the goat or sheep, whatever it is you’re gonna slaughter. Get a bucket. Slit the throat so the blood flows into the bucket. Put the bucket in an ice bath so the blood coagulates quickly. Fry up the coagulated blood with some seasoning, paprika and shit, with some veggies (carrots and 'taters will work). Work in some of the meat if you wish. I have never had it. But I’m tempted to try it. Just to say I did. Now I just need to go find a goat to slaughter.
…what the hell, man. What the hell.
Sprite is gay? Since when? When did Sprite come out of the closet, to think I would have seen that in the headlines at some point…
Just the name alone makes me not want to try it…Coagulated blood…
Food #371:
Super Bowl Party Food
Today’s the Super Bowl. We celebrate by eating a lot of food. Buffalo chip dip. Pizza. Wings. Pork rinds. Pretzels. Grilled chicken. Beer. It’s so delicious.
Food #372:
Cheese Toast
I like cheese toast. Not as much as cinnamon toast. But enough that I can justify making it on occasion.
Why are you stopping?
Yesterday I had no idea it was the super bowl until I saw some folk outside playing football. I don’t really know what a superbowl party food would be besides beer and chips. Not a fan of beer, and I like chips.
Cheesetoast…Is that toast with cheese on it or is it somehow fancier? That would be tasty.
Perhaps toast with cheese in it? Add a slice of ham/turkey and you have an afternoon snack to keep you going till dinner.
Food #373:
Vanilla Wafers
Is there any cookie better than vanilla wafers? I think not.
I think those frosted animal cookies might be, or maybe the heart-shaped Valentines day ones.
I love Nilla wafers. Especially dipped in milk or covered in nutella. They are not my favorite cookie, but that doesn’t change the fact that they are delicious.
Food #374:
Lawry’s Salt
It’s a kind of seasoned salt. I like it on fries and pork.
Never had it.
On a side note, because I was reminded of Nilla wafers my will power finally caved and I went out and bought that and nutella.
I’ve never even heard of it. Sounds good, though. I loves me some salt.
Food #375:
Ceviche
It has always been one of my desires to go to a restaurant and have wonderfully prepared ceviche.
I have no idea what that is.
Funny Food #376:
Chocolate Covered Bacon
Everyone knows chocolate goes well with salt. It brings out the taste. Bacon has a natural salty flavor. Therefore, chocolate covered bacon must be even better.
Aww! Chocolate covered crispy bacon! My black friend’s gramma makes that for us!
