Why am I not seeing Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys, Guttermouth, The Dwarves, Screeching Weasel, NOFX, No Use For A Name, LagWagon, Good Riddance, Death By Stereo, or the Descendants on there?
And, while you’re playing stuff that kinda ventures into Ska, like the Specials, Minor Threat and Flogging Molly, you should try out some bands like MU330, The Blue Meanies, Voodoo Glow Skulls, and Link 80. Most of those Ska bands are a bit faster and harder in their sound, making them more reminiscent of punk rock.
You aren’t seeing some of those bands because I don’t like them But as for DK and the Dwarves, and the Voodoo Glow Skulls, I have yet to get their albums. Thanks for the input though.
I don’t listen to that much punk, but I’m shocked that Dead Kennedys hasn’t been played. Also, while I’m posting I might aswell name a band that hasn’t been mentioned: Nausea. They’re kind of thrashy, like Venom, only more punk orientated. I can’t find any websites on them, at the moment, though. But yeah, good band, you should invest in them if you have a punk radio station.
*edit: Well, MTV has some information, but MTV sucks.
Ooooff man No Bad Religion = muy triste, man.
Oh well though, not my punk station.
Play Alphex Twin - Milkman, pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease.
No Techno!
I’ve heard of Nausea, but not their music. I only have assorted Dead Kennedy’s Mp3s so I don’t have that much by them. I have heard all of their albums though and I do like them.
Sex Pistols and Prodigy.
dude…afi’s old stuff is punker than your mom…like very proud of ya, answer that and stay fashionable, shut your mouth and open your eyes strats to veer a lil from the punk tock stuff but its still there…and seriosuly why did we hafta suggest the pistols…
Avril Lavinge.
Early Chili’s is punk, isn’t it?
No, the Chilli have never been punk.
The Cure, Tori Amos, Voltaire?
What!!! You derned hoods and your modern punk can shove it!!!grrrrrrrr
Try something by the Clash or some early Cure records.
Avril Lavigne isn’t punk.
Try Grey Matter - Food for Thought(album name). It seems to fit into what you’re playing. The problem with this though is actually getting it. You’ll probably have to order it from your local record store. unless you happen to be in the UK.
Angry Johnny and the Killbillies - All American Girl
The Toasters have some good songs as well
I may be the only one that thinks this but the Red Elvises are awexome too
Your forgeting stiff little fingers and Operation Ivy, but why you play Operation Ivy, be sure to call them “Op Ivy” that way any females listening will think your cool and try to have sex with you.
AFI’s old stuff copied the Offspring’s early stuff, I can’t say that it’s “punker than your mom.”
Well… how about: The Circle Jerks, The Descendents, Against Me!, Articles of Faith… hmm… Buzzkill, and the most fucking awesome of all musicians ever… Wesley Willis!
I think we have most of those bands in storage.
