Namco vs Capcom Intro movie: HOLY SHIT.

You may need this player to get it working: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

HOLY SHIT. There is no way this will not be localised. Most Japanese review sites say it’s incredibly fun to play, if a little short.

I cannot wait.

Kos-Mos :open_mouth:

For those who’re thinking about not watching: It’s an animated, FLCL-styled trailer showing the characters going through their moves. Watch it god damn you. The zip file also comes with the music!

I hope they Englishise it :bowser:

Dead link.

Very dead link.

Noooooooooo!

Me wants it…

Well… the name of the game is Namco X Capcom… Famitsu gave it a 28/40 and from what I heard they say:

Good things:

  • Battle scenes are incredible
  • Easy to handle
  • You don’t get tired of playing it, as you get new characters and powers all the time
  • Many stages
  • It’s a long game
  • The Combo System is funny

Bad Things:

  • The battle terrain doesn’t affect the battles
  • The direction that characters face (?)
  • Battle system is a bit poor
  • There isn’t any character database
  • It isn’t simulation, plays more like an action game
  • You can’t make couples freely
  • Easy
  • It doesn’t require too much strategy
  • It isn’t like a strategic RPG

And it seems Namco declared that they won’t release the game outside Japan.

Oooo. Pretty.

Shiny… :O~~~

This game would probably sell more than any Popeye game if they released it here, but NOOO Namco has to be stupid.

So wait, this isnt a 2d fighter made by capcom? Well fuck, I got all excited for nothing.

It’s a tactical RPG with a 2d fighter minigame battlesystem. Or something. It’s apparently not all that great.

Wow, ok so if this were like Shining Force with a Street Fighter 3:Third Strike style battle system when you “engage” the enemy… oh man… oh man that’d be HOT…

But its probably bad, and Namco will probably mess up the Fighting system on the 2d part. Should have left that up to Capcom.
