Is Xinjiang Uigur a particulary rural place, or did you just go to the countryside? Are there any cities etc?

Then you can say he has skills for picking the scene, judging the lighting, holding the camera steady, adjusting the distance and getting a picture of those ugly women without them noticing.

Well, with that landscape it’s not -that- hard to make good photos You just don’t have to take pics against the sun.

And Xinjiang is an S.A.R.? I didn’t know that o_o I thought Macao (or was it Urumqi?) and Hong Kong are the only ones.

S.A.R. = Special Autonomous Region, Vorpy. Not quite part of the mainland.

Those photos are absolutely fantastic, sun! And it was very interesting to see a picture of the flaming mountain, since I’ve read Xiyouji (was that correct?), “Journey to the West” once upon a time.
