He means muppet equivilant. Like Gonzo is Kujas equivilant because of how strange they both are.
The two old guys are called Statler and Waldorf.
And no, I don’t see how this makes any sense either.
What about Fozzie Bear? And Rowlf? Dr. Bunsen Honeydew? Beaker? And the Sweedish Chef?
Fozzie: Loveable, always having fun, tells bad jokes (can’t think of any)
Rowlf: Music man. Butz after he learns the piano 
Dr. Bunsen: Hojo
Beaker: Says nothing all but a few squeeks. He’d make a good Chocobo
Sweedish Chef: Big kitchen knifes. Quina (or however you spell it) would be close enough.
