I’m not suprised. It seemed like Mother3 was released just to “get it out of the way”, in a sense. Considering how much drama there was around M3’s release, i doubt anyone wants to go through that again for M4.
If they would just translate and release Mother 3 (and possibly Mother 1+2 as well), I’d be perfectly content.
I think he announced that some time ago.
I don’t see why people are making such a fuss about the franchise being discontinued. It can hardly be called a franchise :P.

Awww. I kinda hoped for a 3d Mother one of these days. Oh well, I’ll just play through Earthbound again. 
Well, let’s hope they will translate at least Mother 3. It could trigger apocalypse after all these years of waiting. The franchise proves to be just like the game: wacky and hard
