Minors and D&D

Here’s my dilemma. I’m interested in starting a D&D group, but I really can’t get off the ground. I’ve found players, but they can never see me. I’ve got too large a group to have them meet at my house, because my parents don’t let me have too many friends over. On top of that, I don’t really have much time to work out the logistics of the stuff, and my funds are limited, so I can’t buy resources.

How do I solve these dilemmas? Should I even bother trying?

Kick some out and meet at your house, keep those who can see you. Better with 1 player playing every week than with 5 never playing. Resources = Downloadable.

or hold the sessions over the internet and download the books and stuff illegally.

Agree to meet at another’s house if needed, otherwise, just say you can’t have all players at one and run two campaigns if you can.

Most resources are downloadable illegally.

If you can’t take the time to work out the way the game works, don’t bother, the game will NOT go smoothly AT ALL. The other problems can be solved easily in the ways mentioned previously.

If it comes down to this you could pool your money with your friends if you wanted to. Also eBay is a great resource unless you aren’t allowed to purchase things off of there.

I get my books from Amazon. eBay is cheaper but has limited choice.

It’s a dwarf it’s a cicken no it’s gilgamesh. Laughs at the wings on your avvy.

That was completely pointless spam, and I am about ten IQ points lower for having read it. :fungah:

That said, these friends all ditched me anyway, so it’s a non-issue until I can get some new people to join up. But thanks for all your advice anyway; I can build up my stock of books, maybe read them cover to cover over the summer, and be ready to go come fall.

Good luck getting started. You can always try gaming online if you fail.
