I don’t know about these new duels… my personal favorite was the Vader/Luke duel in Empire Strikes Back. It had such a dark despiration to it.
Flashy lightsabre action is only cool the first few times I see it, after a while it loses its flair and just kinda looks like some sort of ballet with glowing sticks. Give me a fight scene that gets better each time I see it.
On that note, the Skywalker/Dooku battle looks like our best hope, or maybe the final battle between Master and Student in a lava field.

Apparently, the effects have been somehow toned-down in this episode, so that they look more like the old movies. Result! I mean, wtf was that THING obi-wan visits in the cantina in Episode 2?! That sucked. Simple as.
Of course everyone dies. Obi-wan tells us Vader killed all the jedi in A new hope!
I still think the best saer fight was Luke vs Vader in RotJ. Luke is just so goddamn angry, and you can SEE it in his face. All these ones so far have been awesome to watch, but there’s no FEELING.
So now that the trailer’s been shown, are we still thinking it’s gonna be bad. I noticed several scenes that seemed to be directly emulating those from Return of the Jedi.
Oh, and it goes without saying that John Williams still fucking delivers. Hell yeah!
also (slight cast spoiler) lol at the young Grand Moff Tarkin being in the film. Played by Wayne Pygram, no less!
Also Extended Universe geeks will be thrilled you won’t be be the appearance of some EU characters and vehicles in the film, apparently.
… unlike the entire prequel trilogy.
