Marines aren’t gettign thsi at this point, just the Army. However, it could probably be because of its max range. If its max range is 400yds, Marines won’t get it ebcause it doesn’t shoot far enough (we qualify at the 500yd line). However, if it does shoot that far, I’m a bit surprised we won’t take it up since it looks like a pretty good weapon. It being fully automatic might be a reason why Marines aren’t getting ti sicne that killed a lot of people in VIetnam (they’d have it on auto, get shot and sometimes end up shooting their comrades) and it is too hard to shoot accurately with more than two consecutive shots because of recoil. Also, the way the sights adjust may be a reason, but it seems to work well.

Nice to see their guns finally have scopes on them. Your army is almost catching up to Canada’s in quality. Next Step: Make guns that little foreign kids wont mistakenly shoot their friends with after finding them on the ground and thinking they were toys. Seriously, what’s that thing made out of, plastic? It looks like a Super Soaker.

Man Hades, considering you complain about the the quality of the boards so much one would think you could at least put a little effort into your trolling to make it creative or amusing in some way.

Nah, I only post in crappy threads when there’s no mentally stimulating ones around. No use putting effort into it.

It is a rare time when mentally stimulating threads are around. Of course, this is a fucking video games forum, not some Goddamned philosopher’s club or something. I think considering that the intelligence level is higher than it normally would be. =p

You want dumbasses? Go to Slayer’s forums. The Neo Nazis are fun to troll. =p

Did you watch the videos of it being shot? It being covered in dirt and water and being picked up and shot again if pretty impressive. Also, belive it or not Hades, you don’t need a scope to shoot well. In fact, a scope makes rapid fighting a bit harder for some types of fighting, like MOUT (you look right over the sight to the barrel with both eyes open, a scope would be in the way). Not only that, but the new M16A4 that Marines are getting and the M4 Carbine both allow for a scope to eb atatched (the M16A4 makes it easier than the M4). Also, if the pastic on it covers a metal body, somewhat like the hand-guard on a M16/M4, then that’'ll be fine. The magazines, it is nice that they can be connected since most guys usually tape the current ones anyway. The opaqueness is nice, but not necessary. Think about it, if you are in a fire fight, are you gonna have time to look down and check? No, your just gonna shoot until the bolt locks to the rear telling you to reload.

Hades, you say America is catching up to Canada, However, if you knew about the military, you’d know that it isn’t the gear that makes a military good, it is the ir tactics and the indivduals. Now I’m not saying the America is better than Canada in either. I’m just saying that America isn’t really “catching-up” as you say/think. Gear only makes the job easier and can add capabilities. Don’t believe me? I’ll show a clear example when tactics are clearly different. Just look at the American Revolution. The British tactics for the most part were to stand in blocks and fire. The colonist didn’t do that as much, instead they hid aroudn things and had people hide in the woods and take out key people and such. Who won? The colonist obviously. They didn’t have nearly as much money or resources, but still managed to beat the most powerful nation in the world at the time because of their tactics. Yes they ahd the help of the Franch later on, but the French hadn’t beat Britain on its own in a while.

Lastly, Hades if you didn’t always knock everything, your opinion might actaully carry some weight. However, since all you do is go saying “That sucks, this blows, you’re stupid,” it makes it hard to take anything you say seriously. And you wonder why I joke about you thinking your the omniscent and ultimate judge of everything. You say I’m being as judgemental by syaing that as you did in the movie thread, however, you seem to lack sarcasm as you obviously missed it in the last thread. Which is why I’m just flat out saying it this time. Hoping it’ll maybe get through that very very thick skull into that small narrowminded brain of yours.

Like I said, I have soem doubts, such as the range and seeing vbery little metal on it, but I’m gonna give ti the benefit of the doubt and see how beforms when it is issued and in war. Heck, Marines got soem new gear just before Iraq and it went to hell, which is why is being reworked and tested. I should also add that the weapon looks like it has an extremely low recoil as seen by the man shooting it with one hand. Also, the way it can transform is also pretty impressive, such as from an assault rifle to a machine gun which relatively few modifications.

Of course Hades in all his wisdom probably already thought of much of this. So it is basically pointless for me to explain. I guess I’m explaining for those whose heads aren’t stuck up their asses.

Yay I like being insulted for thinking differently ^^
I don’t even think I’m FLEXIBLE enough to have my head up my ass though…

And I didn’t say it was a bad gun. A gun is a gun, it’s a killing weapon. If it kills, it’s good. I just said it’s not nearly as innovative as you think it is, and it’s very aesthetically displeasing. You pretty much just made a thread about a gun that half a dozen countries have been using for decades. It may be able to “transform” and all that other fancy stuff, but it’s still the same basic design: Explody-propelled-chunks-of-metal. I’ll be impressed when you show me a big blasma beam that can kill 50 men in one shot. Or something else I haven’t seen infinity plus one times before.
