Baby peach is annoying by the way. everytime you’re near her, she WON’T SHUT UP!!! and she always gets the better items, even when she’s in first… could just be coincidence.

oh yeah, beware of computer characters in 150cc races. they are literally out for blood. I can’t count the amount of times I’ve gone from 1st to 12th because every CPU has attacked me with blue shells, lightning and red shells, all in the same run.
you’ll also notice that the world’s fastest laps on the tracks are set by players using Funky Kong on a bike. they have spent too long on the game.
anyway, it’s an awesome addictive game. hope I play you soon

That said at first it was difficult to get the hang of steering, but by the end of the first race I wasn’t falling nearly off the track nearly as much (starting with Wario’s Gold Mine didn’t help though -_- ).
I rather like the controls as well. I didn’t like the bikes at first because they were too light, but after a few more races, I see how they can be really good.
I thought it was already bad in 100cc where everybody kick you out of the track, throw ink and pow you all at once. While you’re jumping over a gap.
they time it in 150cc.
I was doing the mushroom cup. first course, last lap, I was almost at the finish line when I was hit by a blue shell. I went down to second. the guy in third hit me with a red shell, I went down to fourth, pow block, sixth, lightning, tenth, star, eleventh, bullet bill, twefth.
and the knocking off the track is annoying. and some players online take it to heart. I’ve seen players use the heavier characters and ram the lighter ones continuously.

I use my mii, and the wild wing kart. I used to use Koopa, but I switched because I wasn’t a fan of lighter karts
It’s probably because I don’t drive, but I don’t like the wheel. Unfortunately my friend has her Wii hooked up where it would be too hard to connect GCN controllers, I’ll have to deal with it. It was a lot of fun, but is it just me, or are the graphics really grainy?
The graphics are shiny and plished. I don’t notice any grain on my tv.
Are you using RCA (The analog video connection with 1 video channel, the yellow cable) or component (that one with the red, green and blue channels seperated digitally)? That could be a slight cause to your grain.
why not try the wiimote and nunchuck assortment? or the classic controller?
it somehow pleases me that nintendo are implementing all these control methods for single games now. gives more individuallity to players.
I still prefer the good ol’ gamecube controller
I really really like this game, but like most Nintendo multiplayer games I won’t bother buying it, cause all of my friends do.
