Looking at guitars

Not sure what to get. I do know not to get Fender or Squier, but I’m not sure if I should go all the way for an epiphone, or stick to an ESP.
Anyone know what I should do?

And these two Epiphones:

I like the Explorer.

I like the ESP one, some B.C. Rich guitars are pretty cool looking, you might wanna take a look. Why won’t you get Fender they’re good.

Or how about a walmart guitar?

Fender are actually pretty bad. A friend of mine has a fender, and his pickups are horrible. I like the look of all of them, what I’m worried about is how they will sound. I’m thinking the ESP might sound really good, seeing as I really like the sound that metallica has, and they use ESP guitars.
Then again, Epiphones are top-notch, just below Gibsons (Then again, Epiphone is a company owned by Gibson).

Get <a href=“http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2403293&cat=106982&type=19&dept=3944&path=0%3A3944%3A106982”>this one</a>.

If you are just beggining then I think you might want to actually get one from wal-mart, but if you already now how to play I’d go for the ESP.

What about Rickenbackers? Girls love them, and so do I. They’re so…smooth. And it’s so pleasant to caress their lovely, sweet necks. (I’m talking about the guitars here. I think.)

Get an SG. And no, not because I’M SG :stuck_out_tongue: But, if you want a Gibson/Epiphone, that’s probly your best bet. They’re about as versatile in their sound as a Les Paul and they don’t cost quite as much. My bro has like a 1972 Model Gibson SG, and he uses it in just about everything. It’s truly a great guitar.

Get one that has been featured in Furi Kuri! *Nod, nod.

Is’nt that one a bass guitar though?

that flying V is pretty nice but that ESP just fucking rocks… but it has to be pitchblack… cuz it would make you kewwwwwwwl… get that ESP NOW!

K, first off, I hate you TD.
I love the ESP, but I’m not sure how it sounds. I know epiphones sound great, but I’ve never had the chance to use an ESP.

Pitch black is the absolute 100% most aesthetically shitty color for a guitar that has EVER existed, EVER.

Sound comes first, but if you can choose a color, get one that compliments the color scheme of your clothing.

Here’s the guitar you’re going to buy:

That ESP alctually looks fucking SWEET though. I know nothing about electrics or all the big names and everything, but I’d get that ESP just because it’s so totally awesome.

Get the one shaped like a Gundam Beam Rifle. >_>

A Friend of a Friend recomends the Red Special.

His mate made it!

Nah, my decision’s been made. I’m getting the ESP.

Step One:

Never ever buy a guitar over the internet. Your friend’s Fender may have horrible pickups, but another Fender might not. Guitars really vary from guitar to guitar, and by buying a guitar on the internet, you are placing your musical aspirations in the hands of fate and fate alone.

Step Two:

Ask around about credible and knowledgable music equipment stores. Rummage the phone book, ask friends etc. etc…

Step Three:

Buy a book about guitars, which you no doubt have already done, and read chapter one, which is almost always “Buying a Guitar 101”. I must reccomend the “Keep it Simple Stupid” Guitar edition.

Only step one is really neccessary, because really buying anything on the internet is a toss up, especially things like clothes and guitars. Guitars are things that mold to you, and you need to get something that feels comfortable above all.
