Let's talk about vampire movies.

Last night, I saw From Dusk till Dawn for the first time. It was…interesting, to say the least.
Another good one I saw recently was Near Dark. One cool fact about that one is they never ONCE use the word “Vampire”.

The best ones I’ve seen would have to be the Blade series, but there’s a bunch i KNOW I havn;t seen, as I’m not really into hardcore horror.

Soo…vampire movies. Go. :hahaha;

I didn’t like Blade. Too marvelish for me.

I liek classical ones better, like those old Dracula movies. Bela de Lugosi was one of the best Dracula’s.

Due to my incredibly loose memory, I can remember this one renaissance (possibly) vampire movie where a guy gets bitten, and then attempts to live sucking blood out of rats and such, trying not to harm anyone. He is constantly taunted by the one who bit him, though, and then he finally gives up and bites this girl. the girl also goes vampiric. Several years go and the girl never grows up since she’s doomed to stay that old, and gets quite displeased of the fact. Bad stuff happens, etc… Great movie, but can’t remember the name. Help?

Interview with the Vampire, adapted from a book by the same name by Anne Rice.

I only watched parts of the movie and read half the book. Still, I like it very much. It pratically influenced the whole Vampire: the Masquerade RPG.

Nosferatu.

Hell, it was fucking banned from all cinemas and the church was ordering people to destroy or burn all copies of it when it first came out.

Luckily a copy survived and is now in the British library.

It’s a hella-cool movie, also the camera tricks are awesome for their time.

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> Interview with the Vampire rocked. Gotta love the ending.

And Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter. kthnxbye.

The Lost Boys.

I guess this movie explains the life of a vampire.

I don’t think they’ve aired any vampire movies in Norway since the late 60s. Not that I have been around to see anyway.

I feel for you.

Blood: The last avmpire was good. As anime go it was, I wouldn;t say darker, but it was more obviously darker than most.

Bram Stoker’s Dracula was good. There was another one as well, where they were making a vampire movie (the film-in-a-film is, dum dum dumm, Nosferatu) and the actor who played the vampire was in fact the vampire. I forget the name.

What about Vampire hunter D? ;_;

Isn’t Hellsing about Vampires? I notice one character is called Alucard.

I loved “From Dusk 'Till Dawn”!. The only other straight “vampire movie” I have seen would be “Fright Night”. It was pretty good and I liked it. I guess it will always be in my memory because it was my first rated “R” movie.

Didn’t they do a From Dusk Till Dawn 2 with Dennis Hopper that sucked though?

Don’t remember any movies with vampires, but I really liked the Bunnicula book series.

Ha, n00bs!

Has anyone else here seen Near Dark?

Dracula: Dead and Loving it, I guess. It was probably one of Mel Brooks’ weakest movies, but it wasn’t too bad. And it’s a lot better than most vampire movies.

Blood: The Last Vampire gets honorable mention.

Shadow of the Vampire is the one with the movie in a movie, with John Malkovich I think.

Dracula: Dead and Loving it was more of a comedy than anything else, y’know. :smiley:
