It already is. Ever heard of “Animal Crossing”. If you get the cheat disc, you can unlock it since it was only “dummied” out.

The word “classic” traditionally does not have any inference to age attached to it. Classic generally just means that something is among the best, or is able to endure its quality throughout time or is a typical example of something. So really, it’s not much more than a synonym for “excellent”.
And Majora’s Mask is one of the best Zelda games, as far as I’m concerned. Just because it’s not “old” or whatever, that doesn’t mean it can’t be a classic.
