My friend can’t seem to see any symbols/foreign languages (Japanese, Chinese, etc) on his computer. It all comes up as squares. This happens for symbol and uh, kitakana (I think it’s called that). Help appreciate; prefferably in the form of updates/etc.
Your friend needs to enable eastern language support. This is done under the languages menu in your config.
He did that, but it requires a disc which he doesn’t have. Is there like an online download to get said extensions?
That’s funny, I wonder how he installed windows without that disk.
I don’t know. 
Maybe someone lent him the disc or some jazz.
