I’ve really been getting into the game lately. Its so good I wanna spooge my pants. I do however have a slight problem with the game. I’m playing aiming for the darkside. I have no trouble getting darkside points, but the main plot of the game is so lightside oriented, its really hard to feel like you’ve accomplished anything for the Sith until the end. You go through the entire game’s plot doing something for the lightside. I’m hoping they fix this in the next game. How are your experiences with KotOR?
Awesome. But Dark Side’s options suck. It’s more not-paying-for-things-you-should-brat-evil than destroy-whole-civilisations-like-Hitler evil. No seriously you DO get Darkside points for not paying for shit.
Other than that it’s an excellent game, and well worth playing through twice to see what you can do. Beware, however, of the obvious plot-points.
Yeah, Dark side = free shit and mad creds.
Pretty much, it seems like you do more in the lightside, and there isn’t really much extra stuff for the darkside during most of the game aside from the reaction your teammates give you.
I played through the game on the Light side (I had the huge swirling aura thingy showing I was as good as could be by the final planet), and it was very satisfying and challenging. I played for a bit on the Dark side but didn’t bother to complete the game, as it was way too easy when you were Dark.
I liked KotoR as well. The fighting itself didn’t enthuse me so much since I’m not used to that system, but it wasn’t bad and integrated well with other aspects of the game like the force powers, I must admit. I loved the time I killed half the people in the Sith base on the sith world in 1 shot of force lightning lv 3. That was fucking beautiful.
We need a new image of Sin = Vader.
Like this? Athough its not very evil. We don’t see the trenchcoat very well… Its supposed to be full length and would replace Vader’s cape
Dude. =D
I love KOTOR, but I hate playing dark side. Playing Light side is more fun.
Sin I need a picture of you holding some kind of long pole and fighting with someone else with same for me to photoshop into Jedi-Sin. >:D
Fine. I’ll get to it.
Kotor was a great game, and yeah that seems to be a common thread in a lot of the moral crisis simulator games. I think people just have trouble roleplaying something so contrary to their normal values. You might want to try Fallout and Planescape: Torment if you liked Kotor.
