Has anybody else seen the Kindaichi Case Files or Tsukuyomi on animesuki.com?
I’m bad at writing reviews so I’ll just cut the crap.
>Kindaichi Case Files (the anime and the manga)
Stars the stereotypical slacker named Hajime Kindaichi. What nobody knows is that he actually has an IQ of 180 and has inherited his deduction skills from his grandfather Kousuke Kindaichi (a popular mainstream character in Japan). I don’t know how else to describe it, just go get it.
Very interesting plots, uses references to pop culture, folklore, and classic literature. However the flaw is I do tend to see that doctors are conveniently around whenever the characters are stranded. But that’s not really a bad thing just it gets a little repetitive, it can be overlooked though.
However I recommend reading the manga over the anime since it has more detail (why setting the anime to be the exact story to the manga is beyond me) but the anime does have nice music and acting.
>Kindaichi Case Files: The Movie
The movie has no relations with the manga except that it was inspired by the first volume. It has a completely different cast and motive. It’s available on animesuki so go get it. My only reason why it gets a lower score is because they could improve on animation.
Bottom Line: They are must haves for mystery fans.
>Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase
This is a funny series about a vampire girl trying to make a photographer her servant only complicating the fact that he is immune to spiritual effects.
Bottom Line: Worth watching, especially for vampire fans.
Sorry if those descriptions don’t really help, I’m really bad at reviews.
Other than that, they are worth watching.
