It’s a Tarentino movie with swords, not to mention it has many different subgenres mixed into it (spaghetti western, japanese pop samurai movie-style, etcetera)
Edit: Just read a preview of it in some magazine my brother has. There’s an anime scene in it 🙂

I wonder why the movie was split into two parts… did it just run too long, and they decided to separate it, or was it supposed to be this way? Anyway, it looks typical Tarentino, which is usually a good thing. Uma Thurman looks a little weird with a sword though. \<.\<

I think Uma Thurman is one of a group of assassins, and she falls in love and gets pregnant which makes her leave the group… But on her wedding day the other assassins come and attempt to kill her, and I think she wakes up in a hospital room… I dunno how much time passed (maybe she was in a coma) but then she seeks revenge against her former teammates. I think Bill is her boss…? But somebody correct me if I’m wrong.

This seems reminiscent of a movie about an assassin who falls in love with his target… To be more specific, he always wanted to be one and got pissed off at the other assassins who botched the jobs and made a Thanksgiving dinner for his love while on assignment.

Bill is her boss, and about 5 years passes, if I’m not mistaken.

I like how Uma wears the same yellow jumpsuit as Bruce Lee, I can’t remember the movie where Bruce dawned the yellow jumpsuit though (can anyone help me out?)

Like I said before, Tarentino is a great director. He makes little references to other great movies, and even refers to his others.
In Reservior Dogs, Joseph mentions Jackrabbit Slims restaraunt, which shows up in Pulp Fiction.
