This is going to coincide with Sat’s list, so match them up.

Good game with Disney characters. Still a kick-ass game.
WW is a great game. Different graphics don’t make it bad or kiddy.
Ahhhh… EB is good. No more said. :stuck_out_tongue:
GC/GBA aren’t kiddy by any means. MK:DA anyone? Castlevania?
Pikmin’s a great strategy game. Hard as hell for the 10 day challenge, and it has a great replay value. Kiddy my ass.
Never heard of Sly.
Mario and Sonic are classics. They’re not kiddy in my eyes; they’re old. :stuck_out_tongue:
FFIX is not kiddy. I will kill people who say so.
FFTA is not kiddy. I will kill people who say so.
Pokémon is probably the only one deserving a kiddy title; I mean, they FAINT.

My reasoning sucks. They’re not kiddy games. :stuck_out_tongue:

What’s funny is that all of the “kiddy” games have far more depth and gameplay to them than the “adult” games. Tomb Raider? Please…

True that. Find out their names and addresses and I’ll kill them for free.

Yeah, those people get on my nerves as well. Though i didn’t find wind waker all to exciting, it was moreso related to how it just didn’t seem to captivate me the way the previous episodes did. Not for its use of cel shading, that was very well done!

And anyone whom thinks ff9 and ffta are kiddy need to be castrated immediately.

My two cents…

As some of you may or may not know, I’m in the Navy and have mentioned it before (no, I will not sing that damned song). Anyway, I can’t count the number of times I’ve turned the corner on my boat and caught an ‘adult’ profusely involed in any given GameBoy game. A couple of the biggest ones this past patrol were Golden Sun and Advance Wars. It truely amazes me how many one-on-one conversations with non-gamers I got into about various games/gaming experiences. I say one-on-one because unless the person I’m talking to is a fellow hardcore gamer, they don’t talk much about it. But still, the gaming spirit is there, if only in shutter sports game only players.

As for anime, I’m a rather large fan, having over 130 dvds of various series’ and seen 2x+ as many as I own. The big thing to make fun of this patrol was anime. Japanipornimation they called it. They thought it was childish only because it was a cartoon. My reply to that was, ‘Watch Grave of the Fireflies or Perfect Blue and tell me those where cartoons’. Sadly I didn’t have either of those on board, nor the will to make them sit down and acually watch it, but the movies I did manage to get in people did sit down and watch with intrest.

So in short, don’t pay attention to a 13 y/o who thinks they know what they want because they don’t have a clue. Not even old enough to buy the games they do ‘want’ anyway. Obviously if you’re 13 or younger, and are posting on these messege boards, this is not directed towards you.

Sat doesn’t own his own store yet. For now, he’s a manager at an EB in TX while he finishes his schooling and accumulates funds so he can start his store. And yes, I agree that those people are utter tards and the GBA CAN be a kiddie system since I do see 4 year old brats run around the mall with priceless SPs in their hansd, not understanding the value of what they have in your hands. GBA games tend to be more lighthearted since in the old days, most portable users were kids (still are nowadays, though a fat chunk grew to be old portable users and such). But I agree with everything said, esp FFIX. That’s blasphemy. A 13 year old could not understand all there is to understand from FFIX. It surprised even me. Then again, most of those people aren’t probably the type that’ll play RPGs anyway.

And if I ever meet you ginman, I am so singing In the Navy. If its at Sat’s, I’ll even play the damn thing on DDR.

And I just wanted to let you know I kill…:enguard:

Fool, nobody can kill Sinistral… back to the point

I can see why some people would hate those. Personally, I’m not buying a gamecube because a good share of the games are ACTUALLY DIRECTED towards kids, not to mention the fact that there are more RPGs on PS2. However, they`re all very good games. IMO Pokemon doesn’t deserve to be bought, they’re just a bunch of sellouts.

Metroid Prime (and its upcoming sequel), F Zero GX, Tales of Symphonia, FF CC, Eternal Darkness, Zelda WW (and its sure to come sequel), Ikaruga and many many other games aren’t kiddie games and neither are they bad. You really don’t know what you’re talking about Xelo and are just another person like the ones we’re blasting for being biased from the start and not evaluating things for what they are. Even I have to admit having seen Halo and KotoR that the Xbox is interesting and in the old days, I trusted it as far as I could throw it.

Ha, and thats funny because the Xbox is huge and you can’t throw it far!

…right.

Anyway, yea, the Xbox looks good for one reason, Knights of the Old Republic. That’s it for me, really.

I’ll say that yea, I’m satisfied with my gamecube, but there aren’t a whole lot of games out for it that I find myself interested in getting. I’ve had it since april and I’ve only got 3 games for it.

Resident Evil
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Soul Calibur
Capcom Vs. SNK 2 EO

…to name a few more.

I seriously must be the only person on the planet that finds nothing special about Super Smash Bros.

Try having Samus v Ganondorf v Kirby v Captain Falcon

Greatest Nintendo cross-over party game ever.

Oh yeah and MGS and SC Ghost is coming for it too. SSBM owns as a party game. When I was in Montreal this summer we had the most disturbing fights. Example: Since Hiei is God with Sheik (seriously, he is), Zero, myself and a 3rd player (Z and I are very very good) had to team up to beat him. To make it fair, we turned friendly fire on. The only problem arose from the fact I use characters like Samus and Ganondorf. While we still won, it made a few people angry as to HOW we won ;;>.>. I did end up with the most kills though. YAY ME!

“THE ENDS JUSTIFY THE MEANS!!”

“WHAT?!?”
whammo - 2 or 3 people fly off the screen
glares
“mouahahahahaha”

or the ever popular “DIE MOTHER FUCKER!!!”

SSBM is awesome because of its simplicity and variety. It oozes of replay value, esp with all the bonus options and the dif ways to use items, etc…

Me neither, but I’ve heard of a game called ‘Sly Racoon’, a stealth platformer where you steal things.

It’s called Sly Cooper, and yea, he is a racoon who steals things. Good game.

More old people play those games than young people, at least in Norway. Minus Pokémon which no one plays anymore, I suppose they got boring.

Just yesterday I saw two guys were shopping Gameboy Advance Accessories, I’d say they were both around 30. The closest kid I saw, was nagging his mom to buy Jackass the Movie.

Different name over here, see. Never tried it, but the reviews sound good.

:fungah: I loath people who’ve bashed the Gamecube. Sure, more than half of the games are more milder than the PSX2, but they are tons of fun. A perfect example is Super Mario Sunshine. It’s not oozing blood and gore every second, but it’s a blast to play. Most of the people who say games are “kiddy” have never played them.
