A verdict in the case, which has caught international attention, wasn’t expected until early January. But the appeals court (Borgarting lagmannsrett) apparently didn’t see any need to wait with its decision.

That’s neat, but I gotta say it sucks that Norway’s prosecutors can appeal verdicts.
We Norwegians are crazy. HoHoHoHo.
And you mean that prosecution can’t appeal in Canada, isn’t that a violation of the human rights? In any case, the Supreme Court hasn’t even decided if they’ll use time on the case yet.
Psst, CA stands for California, not Canada. HoHoHoHo!
Sinistral isn’t Canadian? I always thought he was Canadian. Oh well, I’ve given him a compliment then.
He IS Canadian, I believe, but he goes to college in California.
Neat.
Good thing there’s something called a Bill of Rights in our constitution(double jeopardy).:mwahaha:

I dunno. When you have an ignorant jury like in the OJ Simpson case I’d say that an appeal might be nice.
Of course, I think that freeing guilty people is better than condemning innocents, but thats just me.
Yeah, I’m Canadian, but I live in California. The difference between the 2 is Canada is Ca while California is CA because its a state At least, that’s how it typically is.
And yeah, in the states, the _prosecutors_can’t put you on a 2nd trial after you’ve been found not guilty unless the judge declares a mistrial or something along those lines, but that’s not the same as being found innocent and being retried. Its to protect the innocent as CC said. Sometimes people fall through (which sucks obviously), but its better to not let good people get fucked and harassed by an overzealous government.
