I'M SO HAPPY!! (Got the FFXI benchmark - and the game in effect - to work)

I had some direct X problems back then which some of you may remember. Well, after checking out my DX statistics for the umpteeth time, I check and uncheck some boxes in frustration, since I couldn’t get the SECOND FFXI benchmark to work either. I test out the Direct 3d stuff after that, and… O_o!!!

MY DX8 TEST WORKS AFTER NOT WORKING FOR SUCH A LONG TIME!!!

I rapidly proceed to test out the benchmark…

SUCCESS!!!

Now, the results:

Low Resolution: 1980 points = Will work just fine… mayhap some weather effects need to be removed, etc…

High: 1214 points = BArely works, but geesh, it BLOODY WORKS!

I’M ON TOP OF THE WORLD MA!!

Urges someone to go to the 'States to get a copy of the game for him on Tuesday

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> Desktop low-rez: 2529
Desktop hi-rez: 1375

Laptop low-rez: 1780
Laptop hi-rez: 933

And Maba, you could get a copy, but there are no Euro servers yet :stuck_out_tongue:

Who needs a Euro server when you have RED MAGES in the US servers? :stuck_out_tongue:

After a fresh boot, the result rose to 2123 lowrez. Excellent…

The result is that my stationary is crap, and is mauled by my laptop. And my laptop is supposed to be worse than my stationary.

Stupid stationary.

Well, GOOD FOR YOU!

I tested the bench mark and it errored. Said I was worthless, spit in my eye, then laughed and errored again.

… I have a 4 MB graphics card that came with my computer (Read: I was too lazy to actually get one, though I’ve been saying I would for aaages) so I can’t really expect FFXI to work… :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh well… maybe I’ll just get a new video card <.<;;; (and by new I mean actually getting one)

Quick question maba, what DID you do? Because when mine errors it says Dirrect3D in the jumble of weird symblos.

:kissy:

Good, now I don’t feel bad that my laptop has only a 8 MB video card :hahaha; .

Good job! I remember what a pain in the (expletive) it was for me to get FFXI working, even with my new SUPERCOMPUTER OF DEATH. So kudos, congrats, and all that jazz.
