I want one of these

The portable N64.

I would pay good money for one.

That…might very well be the most awesome thing I’ve seen all year.

I would pay good money as well.

Portability plus it solves the controller design issues.

I can’t believe the guy made that. When I first looked, I didn’t realize it was a home creation.

Those should be commercially available. I would be happy.

Not sure if turning the C-buttons into an analog stick is a good idea though…

It works well enough when I play N64 games on my wii.

Ben Heck’s stuff is humorous, but in about 5 years (when the patents run out) you’ll be able to get an n64 or ps1 in an actual handheld form factor without having to accommodate the now oversized boards. This is what caused all those genesis-in-a-controller devices to pop up all the sudden.

This is kinda old, but pretty good. Goes to show what you can produce if you know your electronics.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens when handheld PS1 and N64s get mass produced. Granted, that’s still a few years off.

Where’s the Z button? I didn’t see it anywhere.

The Z button is disguised as what you’d think would be the R button on the back. There seems to be no R button. I’m sure this was done because very few games actually made a use for every single button.

This isn’t bad.

Theres handheld genesises? Be still my beating heart.

Interesting piece of work, but sucky battery life.

Do to the PSPs awesomeness you can have pretty much every classic console (except N64) wherever you want.

I don’t think that D-pad is in a good spot.

I wouldn’t mind a test drive. An extended test drive.

as long as we are on the topic of ben heck and great consoles…
