I feel a lot safer already!
What are they trying to do? Hijack the religion. Islam teaches nothing about suicide anyway, but suicide bombings are praised in Muslim communities.
Islamic teachings say that those in Armies of Allah that are killed trying to defend the Islamic faith will be granted instant access to heaven. Of course, like all religious teachings, this has been twisted into other words and now holds a different meaning. Whatever happened to being good to other people? They took most of it out and replaced it with “kill people who are different”. That’s why I’m agonistic.
Good luck in the future!
The United States and its allies are winning some battles in the terrorism war but may be losing the broader struggle against <s>Islamic</s> extremism that is terrorism’s source, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said Saturday.
Minus that, it’s a great insight.
Why didn’t he just say Crusade?
Cuz Bush did it before him.
In a hundred yeahs an extreme christian director will make a film glorifying this war as the ninth(there were 3 in the middle ages weren’t there? thanks curtis) crusade.
This is a war against Islamic extremism.
There were eight crusades over a span of about 200 years.
What about christian extremists?
Oh, wait, they’re in power, never mind.
Sadly yes, at the moment. I, a Christian moderate, want them out! :enguard:
I’ve always been of this opinion, and always thought the war on terrorism was terribly unrealistic. The best thing you can do for terrorists is keep security tight enough to keep them out, and keep repelling their attempts.
It won’t work any other way, I don’t think. :too bad;
