I am iron man!

Finally an excuse to put a midi in a thread! (Gets ass kicked by TD)
Anyone who’s heard that Black sabbath song “Iron man” will know what I’m talking about, if you’ve listened to lyrics, do you think Osbourne is “subliminally” talking about Jesus? I am skeptical as to what the meaning is.

What? It isn’t about the alcoholic superhero also known as Tony Stark?

“Nobody helps him
Now he has his revenge”

-Black Sabbath “Iron Man”

Jesus doesn’t seem to be the type to seek revenge to me.

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> And yeah, this song is definately about, you know, Iron Man :stuck_out_tongue: (Tony Stark)

I like black Sabbath, but i don’t like Ozzy alone, kinda weird i guess.

So i guess the song MUST be about Cal Ripkin Jr

Uhh, no. You’re looking into Black Sabbaths lyrics too much… They are brutally blunt with their wording, if you just read them alone, it’s easy to tell what it is.
It’s about a guy that goes into the future, and see’s that the world is destroyed, so he goes back in time to tell everyone what happens, but no one believes him, so he destroys everyone, and it turns out he’s the reason why the world was destroyed.

Oh…that makes sense.

Am I an idiot for not knowing that?

No, you’re not an idiot. :hahaha; I’m just a stoner who looks into things too much.

hahaha… but gila is right anyhow… i’m not into ozzy either.

Metaphorical, not subliminal.

Yes, I too have found there’s a couple lyrical passages in that song that could be interpreted that way and, in fact, might be intentional allusions.

But no, in general, I don’t think that’s what the song’s about.
