How many of you work?

NEET

What about part-time job, part-time student? I put full-time job, part-time student, because I’m going to be getting 30+ hours a week. Pizza delivery boy. Hurray for untaxed income! I started last night. 5 deliveries = $17 tips and gas money.

Steve is Furry?

Senior in high school… small job.

Steve is fury.

Um, okay, Steven. Let’s stick to the topic of the thread.

I look at Jenna’s avatar and find it really hard to believe that you’re unemployed, Steve.

Dude. I’ve not left my house, save maybe once or twice in the past 4 weeks, since I graduated last year in June.

I’m that damn lazy since I recently got my uberpwn computer that can’t even emulate PSX due to the shitty OS :frowning:

And I mooch from my parents (If you’d call it that, I’m still doing what I did all my life, only I cost even less in terms of gas money)

It’s true… He has no job.

Or food.

I did the same thing for a little while after I dropped out of college. I just sat around like a bum smoking weed and playing video games all day. Then my parents told me that I had to start paying room and board, and if I didn’t get a damn job, they would kick me out.

So I had to suck it up and face reality. Now I have a good job and an apartment, and I live it up on the weekends.

Cons: No more smoking weed and playing video games all day, every day. Paying rent. Having responsibilities.

Pros: Not living with parents. Not having to answer to anyone. And actually having money to do stuff.

Other than the paying rent part, I find it strange you’d consider those things cons. Is not such a sedentary lifestyle boring as fuck? I spent a total of four days unemployed after graduating college just sitting around doing nothing at my parents’ house before I started going stark raving mad and I had to go out and find a job and shit. I’m not trying to make fun of you or criticize your lifestyle (after all, you said you changed it for the better), but had your parents not forced you to change things, do you think you’d still be where you were then?

Full-time student, part-time job, but not part enough for my liking. Our entire town’s just one gigantic bloody nursing home so the newsagents where I work is full of demented coffin-dodgers 24/7. Moronic, ugly, fat and foul=smelling are just four ways of describing the bastards whose whims I have to pander to. Good thing is though, they’re all deaf so I can get in quite a few good shots when their backs are turned.

Except today, when we got in a particular old dear who is renowned for being senile beyond description. If there is no queue, she WILL talk to you about ANYTHING until someone queues behind her. Even for up to fifteen minutes. About sod all (today it was her various bank cards. I’m not kidding). Even after I gave up all will to live and dove underneath the counter to hide from her, she kept prattling on for two minutes, oblivious to the fact that I was sat well out of view with my fingers in my ears (not in far enough though).

God, how I wish for a flamethrower.

GOD DAMN! Only going out once or twice? Fuck! Come on, don’t youa t least have a social life? Don’t you get bored?

The only social life I had in school was hanging out with complete assholes that I called friends. The only good friends I do have live well past walking distance, and one now has a kid of his own, so he’s working almost full time.
It’s a boring life, but for some reason I’m not going nuts. (I was like this mostly as a kid too, but that’s another story.)

I think this pretty much settles the Jenna = Steve debate…

I was thinking that too.

Poor Steve :frowning: You’re invited to my birthday party

Notice I said all day every day. I’d go out and do stuff later on. While everyone else was at work/school, I’d be playing video games. Then I’d go out and do social shit at night.

Tell me you wouldn’t rather play video games from 9-5 than work.

Its an easy lifestyle to get used to.

I worked full time after I graduated but with med school, no more work. It took me about 6 weeks to find work too, it fucking sucked. I was on the border of applying to In n Out burgers.

Hey, what’s so bad about In N Out?

I do pro bono graphic artwork, but no steady-paycheck-9-to-5-work-in-a-boring-office type job. :stuck_out_tongue:
