HOUSEWARMING TURNS FATAL
BEIJING–The roof of a newly built house in a northern Chinese village collapsed during a celebration for its completion, killing 16 people and injuring 29. Xinhua News Agency reported yesterday the collapse happened Tuesday in a village in the Inner Mongolia region while the owner hosted a banquet for 50 people who had helped build it.
