So the semis have been set. Brazil/Germany and Netherlands/Uruguay. I think the final will be Germany/Netherlands with De Oranje finally coming out on top. However, no UEFA team has ever won the World Cup in the Western Hemisphere, so history is against my prediction.

And Germany wins it all. They were my pre-Cup pick to win it (although I, like most people, jumped on the Netherlands bandwagon after that shellacking of Spain). That’s the best World Cup Final I can remember, despite it being 1-0 AET.
