For party members in a futuristic RPG…Mandrake, Geist, Mobius, Artimis, and Sikena (means sword in arabic)…how do they sound? any suggestions? Comments are very welcome…

Artimis is the name of my dog. Except it’s Artemis. Art-tee-muss. Art Ty Art Ty. I also call him dough head and that is really beside the point.
I like Artimis.
And on a less retarded note, names don’t sound future-istic. You make them that way. And if anything they sound like something from a Greecian past. Well Artimis does. Art Ty.
But you make them into what you want. Depends on the character personality. Now me, if I were shooting for a future-istic name I’d go for something savvy like %$()(#++ or Robo’s serial number. But arrg! Make it into what you wish.
Yeah, they don’t sound too futuristic.
If you want futuristic, name one of them Sparkimus Prime!
Or like Glooodius Maximus. It just SCREAMS power and…future-istic shit

To create futuristic names, you should grab currect common names (think Ashley) and modify them, adding Xs, Hs and Ks.

I am being helpful. Only he would know what a good name for his character would be, because the name IS the character. Asking anonymous people for character names for people that we know absolutely nothing about is absolutely ridiculous.

I don’t think any name said up to now is futuristic. Also… How’s the style of your futuristic world? Does it have giant mechas? Is it cyberpunk? post-nukewar? does it focus on space travel?
Each set of these has names that fit better just for it.

A trick I learned from somewhere (I belive Starwars or something related) was to take the first three leters of your last name(or someone else, or someone you made up), then first name.
In my case…it’s would be Daian.
For the last name…make something. A warning: Anything related to ‘Stars’, ‘Novas’, ‘Sky’ or any combinasons or ‘Color’‘star’ is horribly cliche.

Well I know one of the tricks is to flip your name.
So my name is Maximillian Maltz.
Flip it and it’s Naillimxam Ztlam.
