Happy St Patricks Day!

Oy, this topic scared me since I have to register for classes this evening (the 16th) and I thought “Oh crap, it’s not the 17th today is it?!?!?!?!?!”

Why did it have to be on a Tuesday?
You can’t drink whiskey on a Tuesday. Gives you a headache on Wednsday.

It isn’t on a Tuesday. I think it’s tomorrow, but everyone here has confused me. All I know is: today is not St. Patrick’s Day.

Not much difference. Just means the headache would come on Thursday and not Wednesday.

So you get drunk Odin’s day and get a splitting headache on Thor’s day. Sounds like a good idea to me.

I hate St. Patrick’s day, since my irish heritage shows more than my german, so everyone expects me to, like, KNOW where the hell they can get illegally bought beer. And they don’t seem to realize, I FUCKING HATE ALCOHOL. Damn alcoholism family history.

Odd…same with me to some extent. I’m 10% Irish, 80% German though.

Wow. You learn new things every day.

Yeah, yeah, Iknow I act like I love nothing more than to get roaring drunk and to do every man I see, and most of the women, too. But in all honesty, even if I DID liek Alcohol, I’d be realyl fucking sick of everyone saying, “Hey, you’re irish, right? How about getting me, a 15-year-old dumbass who should be killed to strengthen the Gene Pool, some potentially dangerous and debilitating liquid that will almost certainly result in a great punishment on my part and yiours, for getting me the stuff? I mean, because you’re Irish and all, and they always know how to get drunk on St. Patty’s day.”

You have SUCH a way with words, Val.

And Charle, it’s not even the 17th yet in Ireland…
yes it is

Heh, it is the 17th there now ^^.

Just curious, why is St. Patrick’s day a holiday? What is it in honor of?

Edit: Happy St. Patrick’s Day. :kissy:

It’s in “honour” of St. Patrick driving the pagans out of Ireland.

I heard it was snakes. Definitely wasn’t badgers or mushrooms, though. And as for Disgaea: I prefer KitKats having 3 Counter. :stuck_out_tongue:

o/~ It’s nyot easy being green …

he allegedly got rid of all the snakes in Ireland, among other things.

It’s symbolic. He didn’t drive any snakes out of Ireland- it’s a story. He did try to drive the pagans out, though. They’ll probably rerun his thing on Biography (A+E)- watch it. It’s pretty interesting.

Hahah Ireland. Give Ireland back to the Irish, this one is for the cause, Anarchy in Ireland!

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/subsites/twistedrpg/images/hero/rirse.gif”> Joy to the day of the green. Now let get drunk and play pingpong! Oh yeah, as a extra treat, here the Grimace (McDonald) as “Uncle O’Grimacy”. I am not making this up either.

Go me i’m a quarter Irish woo. I thought i was half Irish when i was younger, but i’m just half Polelock, and doesn’t that just make sense ^ _ ^
starts the pinching sessions for those not wearing green Trill you ain’t getting out of it that easily!

By any chance does anyone want to kiss me? hears the tranquil sounds of silence

St. Who’s Day? Oh, right. That thing where everybody pretends they’re leprechauns. Strange, strange customs ye have, lads.
