Gaming Dilemma

Okay, in short, I’m thinking of selling my GameCube. Now with cash from this I could either;

A) Get some of the newer PS2 games I’ve had my eye on for a awhile

Or

B) Get a GBA SP and import Fire Emblem. ;;>.> , since I spend a lot of time in holidays and some weekdays/ends without access to my laptop.

I could of course just keep the GC, but right now I’m not seeing much on the horizons that warrent buying.

Now, there are a lot of decent PS2 games that I want, and I already have access to most of the GBA games anyways, but this summer I’m not going to be able to use my laptop or PS2. All summer. All 3 months of it. I’d be fine without any gaming anyways, but still… 3 months… 0_o

Suggestions?

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> GCs are about 99 euros new, selling it will fetch you roughly 50, which isn’t even enough for one game. Selling games will fetch you 30 each, or 1 game per two. I wouldn’t say it’s worth selling all that to afford, what, 4 new games? Interesting titles will probably come out for the GC, anyway. Like that new Star Fox game. drolollolol.

Buy some junk. Junk is great.

Or you could get the GBA. It sounds more usefull.

Yeah, but I just don’t use it enough. It’s just sitting on my table doing nothing, so I may as well get rid of it in change for something I’d use a hell of a lot more.

Anyway, I don’t like Starfox that much. :stuck_out_tongue:

Get a few friends over and have a Smash party.

Buy an acoustic guitar and jam wit me, brudda.

It’s really not worth it, who knows in a few years you might be in the mood to play your GC, and frankly selling it for that little isn’t worth it. I still own my old NES, and I wouldn’t sell it for the world, do I play it? Hell no, it’s sitting in a box collecting dust, but who knows in a few years.

… it will still be collecting dust in that very same box

Keep the GC, I say. You’d only be able to buy one PS2 game from selling it 9unless they are used games), and certainly wont be able toget a GBA (or SP for that matter) with it. There are some games coming out for it, eventually, that should be good (namely metroid prime 2 and that new SF, and purportedly their’ making a wind waker 2, if you liked the original (which I didn’t, but thats my opinion))

I played my NES a week ago. Then I found a NES emulator that runs on my modded PSX. Very well.

I’m going to advise you also to not sell it, along the same reasoning as everyone else. Nintendo is a little slower in the game production area. Their best games don’t normally come out for a while after the console has been out. Give it more time.

But, if you REALLY think you should sell it, still go for the GBA SP. I’ve been trying to get one recently too, but with my financial situation I probably won’t even get a used one off eBay for the price I’d be willing to spare right now. Anyway, the reason I suggest the GBA: portability. Three months will leave you begging for video games, and frankly, GBA has some awsome games out (Fire Emblam, FF Tactics, Zelda Link to the Past/Four Swords). The fact that you have limited access to other gaming consoles makes the GBA a prime choice…besides keeping the GC, of course.

Let us know what you decide (or at least me!)

Heathen!

But yeah, keep the GC. There aren’t as many games, but the games that do get released for it are all really, really good and will keep you entertained for the longest time.

I wouldn’t sell it. But if you do…buy some graham crackers and some marshmallows. Make a fire in your backyard and put the marshmellows on a stick. Let them roast over the fire and than you can smear the melted marshmellows over the graham crackers. Enjoy your smores…YUM!

Don’t sell it. You never know when Nintendo’s gonna hoard the good games again, like back in the 16-bit era.

Might as well keep it. Since you’ll regret selling it once Tales of Symphonia is released.

Yeah I often just felt like sorting out my old MegaDrive and playing a game or to on it. Since you can never beat some of the older systems. So keep the GC. And try and get enough money for a GBA/SP some other way.

Care to give me a link to the emulator? And do you know if it supports games that use Mapper 16, AKA evil Bandai Dragonball Z games and the like?

Here. Not Yet. And more.

Holy shit, I don’t know what it is, but that’s by far the best fucking advice yet XD
