FRUCK YOU SQUARE ENIX!!(not really..)

How can Square come up with a game that has the sorriest most confusing ending EVER, but can’t come up with a decent fighting game!?! No offense, I love the company formerly known as Squaresoft, but Ergheiz (or whatever it was spelled like) sucked ass! Also, nobody on this board right now can TRUTHFULLY tell me that they wouldn’t want to see Sephiroth (Seraph, whatever…) kick Tidus’ pansy ass!! Flame at will…

Oh, so this is what you meant.

As I see it, we don’t ask Namco to make RPGs, and we don’t ask Square-Enix to make beat-em-up’s. When a company has spent most of their career making one genre of game, they’re probably not going to be any good at making another. Not that that ever stopped S-E from trying…

And which ending were you talking about? FFX or FFX-2?

I thought that Ehrgeiz was an enjoyable game. It can’t compare with other fighters, but it was still enjoyable.

Not nessecarily, but it’s fun to watch them try.

I dont get it. So sorry confusing endings are what we are aiming for…?

And meh every company is bound to suck at some point. They’ve made great games in my opinion in the past (especially Enix) so I think one little flop aint gonna hurt them.

Because the only genre SquareEnix is pretty much good at is Japanese RPGs.

Like Namco is good at fighting games but the games they make in other genres aren;t too hot. (kill. Switch, Spawn, R: Racing Evo, etc. wern’t taht great)

The problem with Square was that they had many little flops, allof which cost money coughSpiritsWithincough. They merged with Enix because they were having serious money troubles.

And Eva, stop having such an adorable avvy.:kissy:

Every company tries to cross genres.

Hell even SNK made a RPG.

And, whew, its a good thing you didnt use the full word, fuck, in your title, or you might of corrupted me. >_>

Really?! Well I was talking popularity wise but with that Ehrgiez or however you spell it, since it didn’t come out to great, they probably didn’t put much into it (thus not losing a lot of money, but that’s the way economics and money and marketing work in my head)

And gawsh yer making me blush flutters eyelashes

Tales of Phantasia, wot?

Thinks star Ocean was NAmco too… ToP ruled.

And one wonders where you did get the avvy from, Eva.

Try telling that to fans of Einhander or Bushido Blade or Rad Racer.

I stand gladly corrected, but you know what I meant. :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought Star Ocean (well the second one at least) was by Enix? And so was V-v-valkyrie Profile.

I got the black and white picture from a guy I know (dunno who the original girls are) and then i gave it to Ren to colour it for me. We both had the two girls as avatars awhile back.

Oooohhhh yeah. Ass Shakers. I still ahve that pic.

Ehrgeiz shucks. Now Tobal 2 was a good game, but then again it was made by Dream Factory, not Square:mwahaha:
And Star Ocean / Valkyrie Profile (aka the best psx rpgs from far) were made by Tri-Ace.

Tobal was a pretty damned good Square game.

I agree with pretty good part, but once again, let me point it was made by Dream Factory :stuck_out_tongue:
