I went through the old suggestions thread and made as many of the changes as I could find. Here’s what’s different!
*Removed the link to profile of Thread Starter on Forum page; I always found this annoying. I’ll get rid of the Last Post url link in a minute.
*Inserted Age, RPG, Movie, Book, Album profile fields on the left
*Enabled Quick Reply so that you can use it without clicking the Quick Reply button.
*Included Spoiler tag on message button listing. For now it’s my picture until a suitable replacement can be found; since you need a picture now for some reason.
*10 mininum character limit has been removed
anyway, what else do you think needs added or changed? Post away!
I would like to see new banner images for the forum. You could either make a new “RPGC Agora” banner, or make new banners for each different sub-forum.
Your avatar looks a little smooshed on the spoiler button there. Maybe you should resize it manually so that it looks a little better. Or I guess you could play it off as your piano smashed avatar. =P
the picture dimensions for the message bar are 21x20 thereabouts. I can’t resize the picture on this computer currently, so that’s just there until it can be modified or a replacement pic is settled upon (suggestions for that would be fine).
I’d use a Curtis sprite for the spoiler button, but he doesn’t use a picture to represent himself.
I think the clock settings are corrected. What you all should do is…
User CP --> Edit Options --> turn off DST, set your time zone based on where you are
that should do it. I think VB’s time zone thing is messed up based on reading up on it at the forum. Come October I may reinvestigate it (when DST is supposed to come back).
For one, I think you should set it so that, instead of all thje pages of a thread when you’re browsing, it just shows the first few and the last few. That would work much better for this style, and the Media and RP forums would no longer looked streched.
Also, when sending private messages, “Save sent message” is checked by default. It would probobly be for the best if that was undone.
Also, you said that you set it so that the “favorates” would be displayed on the left…does that mean, say, under th avatar like it used to be? if so, then for some reason I’m not seeing it. Is that just my problem?
Get rid of the sig text limit. I cant put in that sweet ass html sig I used to have anymore. it didnt take up too much space, and was nothing to load. why punish me?
I fixed the thread page display problem. It was buried in the settings page.
I halved the search time options, but didn’t remove them.
I increased the maximum characters limit for signatures but didn’t disable it.
I’ll get to the PM issue right now, as for your question about the Fav info GC, it may be an individual setting problem you have. For example, right now under your avatar it displays the current info on my screen:
