Sorry about the double post, but after two weeks of it being on do you think it got worse? I never saw the original so I wouldn’t know.
FMA rocks, the only thing I’m not happy is it got liscensed in the first place.
I’m glad it did. It deserves the attetnion it’s been getting. I’m hoping more people I know will check it out so I can talk to them about it. Plus I’m looking forward to Broken Angel.
The dub isnt terrible. The jap version, obvioulsy blows it out of the water, but it gets the point across, and they dont tip toe around the subject matter. The acting is decent, and the voices for the most part fit. Bonus points for Linu-i mean, Al.
BTW, I despise dubbed anime, so this is saying a lot.
I hate Edwards voice…it’s too deep. And Al’s is bad too. But it’s still good.
They liscensed it in the middle of its run. I didnt get to see the ending yet.

His brother’s body disappeared inside the gate during the transmutation of their mother, and in a desparate attempt to save him, or his soul at least, he made a transmuation circle in his own blood inside the armour, and encased it there. He dies if anything happens to that blood circle. It is is the best series of all time.

i haven’t gotten a chance to see the english, but after seeing all the japanese, it’s almost the best series ever! the only problem is the last 10 episodes or so slow down and get a little worse . . . but if the movie turns out good(not out yet), then it’ll be the best anime i’ve ever seen!! (i’ve seen dn angel, escaflowne, cowboy bebop, trigun, evangelion, nadia and the secret of blue water, naruto, pokemon, ah my goddess, sailor moon, and hikaru no go… for reference)

FMA is so far really good, but I’m the only one in my family following it.

My mom’s been watching it. I caught the first couple, then decided not to make it a priority to watch it (not that it was bad, cos shockingly it’s really done pretty well), and to my surprise she’s continued to watch it.
My mom and dad don’t want to follow another anime. They really got into Yuyu Hakusho and Gad guard so don’t really have time to be following another. Does your mom not normally watch anime?
Obviously not to the extent that I do. She has a mild passing interest in it. She’s well informed on it, doesnt see it as “japanese cartoons” or “cartoon porn” (I’ve made damn sure of that) and has expressed genuine interest in several series and films-Tenchi OVA, Sailormoon, Scrapped Pricness, Elfen Lied (watched the whole thing in a DAY), Spirited Away, etc. But she normally wont go out of her way to watch it.
thats cool. I wish my mother would watch animes with me.I tried to get her into it but she has no interest, oh well
I got my sister into hellsing, watched that pretty quickly, but I havent been able to get her intrested In anything else really
So far, I like FMA. It’s a very good anime, and the opening theme rocks!
And, don’t really care about dubbin’ that much. As long as I get to see it, I don’t care too much about it.
